What are the requirements?
To enter, Nintendo requires a Nintendo Switch 2 system, the Mario Kart World game, a Nintendo Account, an internet connection and a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Membership is sold separately; Nintendo also mentions a possible free seven-day trial, subject to the service's terms. The points offer applies to eligible participants in North and South America. The event also serves as a qualifier for the Mario Kart World Fall Cup 2026, a December competition exclusively for players in North America. Taking part in the Open from South America does not, by itself, provide access to the Fall Cup.
How do you enter the event?
- During the September 19–20 event window, open Mario Kart World on Nintendo Switch 2.
- In the game, select Online Play and press the − button to search for an event.
- Enter the four-digit ID 7943 and participate within the stated event period.
The announcement specifies VS Race, 150cc, no teams, normal items and a maximum of 32 races. It does not state a minimum score for claiming the 50 points; the published condition is to participate and meet the applicable eligibility requirements.
When and where can you claim the points?
Nintendo says the 50 Platinum Points should be available to claim on the My Nintendo Missions page on or about September 29, Pacific Time. Check the mission in your account after that date rather than assuming the points will be credited automatically on tournament day. The official notice also says that the Nintendo Account username, icon and score may become publicly visible on the results page.
