Nintendo Switch Online members can try the full version of Prince of Persia The Lost Crown on Nintendo Switch at no additional cost until October 1, 2026, at 3:59 a.m. Brasília time. The Game Trial started on September 24 at 2 p.m. and unlocks the full game during the promotional window.
Who can join the Game Trial
The benefit is available to Nintendo Switch Online members. During the announced period, members can download and play Prince of Persia The Lost Crown on Nintendo Switch without purchasing the title. Nintendo presents the promotion as a Game Trial, a temporary membership benefit, rather than a permanent demo.
How long the full game remains available
For Brazil, Nintendo says the window runs from September 24, 2026, at 2 p.m. through October 1, 2026, at 3:59 a.m., using Brasília time. If you want to try the game before deciding whether to buy it, the key detail is that the trial deadline and the discount deadline are different.
How to activate it and start playing
- Confirm that your Nintendo Switch Online membership is active.
- Access the Game Trial offer on Nintendo Switch or through Nintendo's official channels linked to your account.
- Download Prince of Persia The Lost Crown while the benefit window is active.
- Launch the game and play the full version until the trial ends.
Because access is tied to a temporary benefit, the ability to play without purchasing the game ends when the promotional window closes.
Can you keep your progress if you buy the game?
Yes. Nintendo says your save data can be transferred if you decide to purchase the game during or after the promotion. That means you can make progress during the trial and continue from your save instead of starting over after a purchase.
A Game Trial is not the same as buying the game
| Option | What you get | Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Game Trial | Access to the full version while the benefit is active | Until Oct. 1, 2026, at 3:59 a.m. Brasília time |
| Digital purchase | A purchased game license tied to the account, subject to store terms | The announced discount ends Oct. 8, 2026, at 3:59 a.m. Brasília time |
So players who only want to try the game should focus on the October 1 deadline. Those who try it and decide to buy still have an additional window to use the announced promotion.
How much is the discount and when does it end?
Nintendo announced a 70% discount on the digital version of Prince of Persia The Lost Crown through Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Store. The offer ends on October 8, 2026, at 3:59 a.m. Brasília time. The purchase promotion therefore lasts beyond the Game Trial.
Is there an extra reward for members?
In addition to temporary access, Nintendo Switch Online members can complete a mission connected to the Game Trial and earn 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points by trying the title, according to the official announcement.
What to evaluate before buying
The trial gives you a practical way to see whether the acrobatic combat, exploration and action-platforming structure work for you. Since save progress can transfer, it is useful to start early enough to make a purchase decision before free access ends and, if interested, compare that decision with the discount deadline.
