Based on the labels used in Peacock's announcement, 15 of the 23 names are directly associated with a reality show or competition and entertainment franchise. The other eight are presented mainly by profession or field, including content creator, actress, actor, athlete, singer, or an NFL figure.
Franchises with multiple representatives or a strong history of strategy-driven competition include Big Brother, The Amazing Race, Survivor, and The Challenge. The cast also expands the presence of Bravo-related worlds with names from Real Housewives, Southern Charm, and Next Gen NYC.
When does The Traitors Season 6 premiere?
The official window is early 2027. As of the cast announcement published on September 18, 2026, Peacock had not given an exact premiere day or the complete release schedule in that announcement.
This announcement concerns Season 6 with celebrities and known personalities. It is separate from The Traitors: New Blood, the civilian edition that premiered on NBC on September 17, 2026 and becomes available on Peacock the following day. That distinction helps avoid confusion between the edition airing in 2026 and the celebrity season announced for 2027.
What has not been announced yet
The cast reveal confirms the lineup, host, and launch window, but leaves several details for later announcements. Those include the exact premiere date, the episode schedule, and the game's opening configuration. The identities of the Traitors are part of the format's core mechanics and were not disclosed with the contestant list.
