Gramado Farroupilha Week 2026: September 18–20 schedule, parade, concerts and closing dance

Check the final three days of Gramado Farroupilha Week, what is happening at Praça das Etnias and why the September 20 closing dance requires attention to the venue.

Visitors planning to enjoy the final days of Gramado Farroupilha Week 2026 will find three quite different schedules from Friday, September 18, through Sunday, September 20. The main program announced by Gramado City Hall is centered on Praça das Etnias, with workshops, accordion performances, traditional dance groups, choir performances and concerts. On Sunday, the closing day has a special format: a parade for Dia do Gaúcho at 2 p.m., a concert at 5 p.m. and, at 8 p.m., a closing dance at CTG Manotaço in Mato Queimado, described by the city as a decentralized activity.

The schedule below is based on the official program published by Gramado City Hall. It includes only the events still scheduled from September 18 to 20.

Friday, September 18: workshops, accordion and fandango

Friday has the most evenly distributed schedule across the day. The “O Silêncio da Floresta” workshop, organized in partnership with CTG Manotaço, takes place at 10 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Between those sessions, “A Arte da Gaita” is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and returns at 4:30 p.m.

In the evening, the highlight is Grupo DeLe Fandango at 7 p.m., with participation by CTG Manotaço's artistic dance groups. For visitors who want to stay in the central area and combine daytime activities with an evening music performance, Friday has the longest sequence of listed events.

Saturday, September 19: workshop, choir and late-afternoon concert

On Saturday, the “Pedras que Falam” workshop is scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. “A Arte da Gaita” is set for 11:30 a.m. At 3 p.m., the program includes “Vozes Gaúchas,” performed by Coro Vozes de Gramado, and the city explicitly identifies Praça das Etnias as the venue for this performance.

The last listed Saturday event is the “Jeitão de Gaúcho” concert with Pepeu Gonçalves at 5 p.m. In practical terms, it is a convenient choice for visitors who prefer to concentrate their outing between the morning and late afternoon without relying on a nighttime attraction.

Sunday, September 20: parade, concert and closing dance

Dia do Gaúcho brings the most symbolic moments of the closing day. The commemorative parade is scheduled for 2 p.m. However, the City Hall publication gives the time without detailing the route or exact assembly point, so anyone planning to watch the parade should confirm that information through official channels closer to the date.

At 5 p.m., the schedule lists a concert with Juliano Bolfe. Then, at 8 p.m., the closing program moves to a different venue: the dance with Grupo Os Farrapos takes place in Mato Queimado at CTG Manotaço. City Hall labels this event a “decentralized activity,” clearly separating it from the main program centered on Praça das Etnias.

Praça das Etnias and CTG Manotaço are different program locations

This venue distinction is the most important practical point for Sunday visitors. Farroupilha Week's main cultural program is centered on Praça das Etnias, while CTG Manotaço runs a parallel schedule at its own headquarters, including dinners and charity dances. The September 20 closing dance is explicitly listed at the CTG in Mato Queimado.

City Hall describes the cultural program at Praça das Etnias as free, but the announcement does not state whether the closing dance requires a ticket, contribution, reservation or any other specific access condition. For that part of the program, the municipal notice itself directs readers to CTG Manotaço's schedule, published on @ctgmanotaco.

Which day should you choose?

  • September 18: the best fit for visitors who want activities throughout the day plus a traditional evening concert.
  • September 19: combines a workshop, accordion performance, choir and concert by late afternoon.
  • September 20: the best choice for those prioritizing the Dia do Gaúcho parade and the closing atmosphere, keeping in mind that the 8 p.m. dance takes place at CTG Manotaço.

Before heading out, check City Hall and CTG channels for any operational updates, especially the parade assembly or viewing point and the access conditions for the closing dance. With the times and venues separated clearly, it is easier to choose between a visit focused on Praça das Etnias or a full Sunday that ends at the closing dance.
