The SP Open reaches the quarterfinal stage on Friday, September 18, 2026, with four singles matches on Maria Esther Bueno Center Court and three doubles matches on Court 1. Singles play starts at 1:00 p.m. local time, while the second session on center court will not begin before 5:30 p.m. In doubles, Victória Barros, Nauhany Silva and Luisa Stefani keep Brazilian interest alive. The tournament is a WTA 250 event played on hard courts at Parque Villa-Lobos in São Paulo. The WTA lists the tournament from September 14 through September 20.

Today's singles quarterfinal order of play

The published order for Maria Esther Bueno Center Court splits the quarterfinals into two sessions. Times below are São Paulo and Brasília time and should be read either as scheduled starts or as minimum start times when the order says "not before."

Brazilian players in doubles: who plays and when

Court 1 is devoted to doubles on Friday. Two teams featuring Brazilian players are in the quarterfinals, followed by a third match with no Brazilian player.

The official WTA draw shows that Rogers and Zamarripa are already through to the semifinals after beating Ingrid Martins and Jazmin Ortenzi 6-3, 6-1. That means Barros and Nauhany already know who would await them if they advance. Top seeds Stefani and Dabrowski reached the quarterfinals by beating Rebeca Pereira and Marjorie Souza 6-0, 6-1, a result also reported by the official SP Open website.

How the singles semifinal paths are set

The draw is now fixed for the round. In the top half, the winner of Kostovic vs. Quevedo will face the winner of Blinkova vs. Charaeva. In the other half, the winner of Podoroska vs. Lamens will meet the winner of Stoiana vs. Badosa. Friday's four singles matches therefore determine the complete semifinal lineup.

What changed since the earlier SP Open guide

The main update is that the quarterfinal matchups are now confirmed. Brazil no longer has a player in the singles draw, but three Brazilians remain in doubles: Victória Barros and Nauhany Silva play together, while Luisa Stefani partners Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski.

The schedule is also more useful for day planning now. Instead of a general tournament overview, Friday can be organized by session: singles from 1:00 p.m. on center court, doubles from 2:00 p.m. on Court 1, and the evening singles session not before 5:30 p.m.
