For anyone planning to attend the 81st Official Engineering and Agronomy Week (SOEA) in Aracaju, the main practical change now is the price: the general early-registration discount period ended on August 3, 2026. Since August 4, the second price tier established by Confea has applied. The 81st SOEA will take place from October 13 to 16, 2026, at the AM MALLS Convention Center in Aracaju, Sergipe.
For undergraduate students, the current fee is R$ 300. To use this category, the person cannot already be a professional registered with the Confea/Crea System and must attach proof of enrollment in an undergraduate course when registering. Confea reviews the document, and payment is released only if the proof is approved.
How much does 81st SOEA registration cost now?
Plenary Decision PL-0217/2026 divides prices into two phases: a promotional period that ended on August 3, 2026, and the tier in force since August 4, 2026. For a registration made now, the relevant figures are the current prices below.
| Registration profile | Current fee since 08/04/2026 | Important condition |
|---|---|---|
| Confea/Crea System professional — all professional titles | R$ 600.00 | General category for professionals in the System. |
| Professional registered with or holding a visa from Crea-SE | R$ 450.00 | For those relying on a Crea-SE visa, the visa application had to be filed by October 13, 2025. |
| Mid-level technical professional in the Confea/Crea and Mútua System | R$ 400.00 | Specific fee for mid-level technical professionals who are part of the System. |
| Other professional categories | R$ 650.00 | Applies to professionals who do not fall under the categories above. |
| Companion | R$ 300.00 | Each professional may register only one companion who is not a professional in the System. |
| Undergraduate student | R$ 300.00 | Cannot already be a professional registered in the System; proof of enrollment reviewed by Confea is required. |
The prices and rules are set out in the Annex to Decision PL-0217/2026. Confea's registration announcement reproduces the same table and confirms the venue and event dates: 81st SOEA: theme, registration and prices.
Who still gets a discount?
Two points need to be separated. The general early-registration discount ended on August 3, 2026. Therefore, a registration made now should not use the first price tier.
Even after that date, some categories still have their own fees that are lower than the general System professional category. The main local example is a professional registered with or holding a visa from Crea-SE, whose current fee is R$ 450.00, compared with R$ 600.00 for the general System professional category. For participants relying on a visa, however, the decision limits the benefit to applications filed with Crea-SE by October 13, 2025.
Students and mid-level technical professionals also have their own fees, but these should be treated as specific registration categories, not as an extension of the promotion that ended in August.
Fee exemption is not the same as a discount
The official decision also provides fee exemptions for certain groups, including Merit honorees or their representatives and their respective companions; Confea, Mútua and Crea employees summoned to work at the event; certain professionals designated for institutional duties; official guests; speakers, moderators and specialists attending only for their scheduled participation; and professionals selected for an oral presentation at Contecc. These cases follow their own criteria and should not be confused with an ordinary discounted ticket purchase.
Students: which document must be attached?
Confea's published requirement is specific: to use the student fee, the participant must attach proof of enrollment in an undergraduate course at the time of registration. In this decision, the official text does not specify a single mandatory certificate template, a minimum issue date or a particular file format. It is therefore safer not to replace the enrollment proof with a student ID card or another document unless the official portal expressly accepts that alternative.
There are two other relevant conditions: the category is for an undergraduate student who is not already a professional registered in the System, and the enrollment proof is reviewed by Confea. Payment is released only after approval.
How registration works on the portal
The official 81st SOEA platform shows a four-step journey: account creation, registration, payment and confirmation. Access is available at eventos.confea.org.br. For new participants, the account form requests basic information such as name, email, CPF, date of birth and phone number before proceeding to the registration choice.
According to the Confea decision, online registration opened on March 9, 2026 and continues until the participant limit set by the Organizing Committee is reached. On-site registration at the Convention Center is also subject to capacity, and the rules state that registration on the event day may be limited or unavailable depending on demand and availability.
What to check before paying
- System professional: make sure the selected category matches your professional link and title.
- Crea-SE registration or visa: if eligibility depends on a visa, verify that the request was filed by October 13, 2025.
- Mid-level technical professional: use the specific category provided for members of the Confea/Crea and Mútua System.
- Companion: only one companion is allowed per professional, and the companion cannot be a professional in the System; if they are, they must register as a professional.
- Student: attach undergraduate proof of enrollment and wait for the review before attempting to complete payment.
What if you need to cancel?
Because the current date is already past August 3, 2026, the general cancellation rule provides for a 50% refund of the amount paid for requests made by September 30, 2026. After that date, the decision states that there is no refund under the ordinary rule. A full refund is provided only when participation is impossible for health reasons, supported by a medical document issued in the participant's name and subject to review by the Organizing Committee. The request must follow the instructions in the official rules.
