Updated September 9, 2026. Merchant registration to compete for spaces at events on Aracaju's Atalaia waterfront is open through September 11. For Vila da Criança 2026, the process has three stages that should not be confused: in-person registration, vehicle validation for the categories that require it, and a lottery among eligible registered applicants. The process is governed by Public Call Notice No. 06/2026, listed on the Emsurb Transparency Portal.

What is the registration and lottery schedule?

The registration, validation and lottery dates and times were announced by the city government and Emsurb and are summarized in updates published on September 3 and September 9.

Who can register and for which activity?

The procedure is for merchants seeking to compete for public spaces to sell products during Atalaia waterfront events scheduled for October, November and December 2026. Each applicant may register for only one commercial activity.

The activities announced under the public call include:

  • cooler sales;
  • food and beverages;
  • drinks;
  • towner;
  • food truck;
  • sweets and treats;
  • Kidplay attraction;
  • children's train attraction.

The activity choice matters because some documents and additional steps vary by category. Applicants should therefore choose the category before assembling their paperwork.

Which documents should you check before going to Diropa?

The basic documents announced include an official photo ID containing RG and CPF and proof of residence in Aracaju, in the applicant's name, issued within the previous 60 days. The public call also includes category-specific requirements.

  • Activities involving food handling may require a Food Handling course certificate.
  • Vehicle-based categories may require vehicle documents and other proof specified for the category.
  • Food trucks and towner operations also have an in-person vehicle validation stage on September 14.
  • Attractions involving children's equipment depend on the equipment documentation required by the notice.

This list is an initial guide, not a substitute for the notice. The safest approach is to compare the documents you have with the requirements for your chosen activity in Public Call Notice No. 06/2026, because a document required for one category may not apply to another.

How does the towner and food truck validation work?

Anyone registering to operate a towner or food truck must bring the vehicle for in-person validation on September 14 at 9 a.m. in the Parque da Sementeira parking lot. The public information about the process states that attendance at the scheduled time is mandatory for validation of the registration.

In practical terms, submitting documents between September 8 and 11 does not complete the procedure for these two categories. The merchant should treat vehicle validation as a separate stage before the lottery.

When is the Vila da Criança lottery and who takes part?

The first lottery is scheduled for September 15 at 10 a.m. at Diropa headquarters. According to the September 9 update, it is open to merchants who are properly registered and deemed eligible under the public call. This first lottery allocates spaces for Vila da Criança 2026, the first event covered by the process.

Vila da Criança 2026 is scheduled for October 9 through November 1 at the Events Square on the Atalaia waterfront. A total of 18 spaces were announced: six for sweets and treats, two for food and beverages, four for towner, four for food trucks, one for a Kidplay attraction and one for a children's train attraction. The announced public-use fees range from R$50 to R$600, depending on the activity.

Stage-by-stage checklist

  1. Before registration: choose one activity and check the notice for that category's documents.
  2. September 8 to 11: register in person at Diropa, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  3. If you operate a towner or food truck: plan for vehicle validation on September 14 at 9 a.m.
  4. Before the lottery: check that your registration is eligible and follow Emsurb's official instructions.
  5. On September 15: follow the first lottery at 10 a.m., which will allocate the Vila da Criança 2026 spaces.

Because the process continues after registration, monitor the Emsurb Transparency Portal, which lists Notice No. 06/2026 and Information Bulletin No. 010/2026 about the Vila da Criança lottery. For operational questions, the municipal notice provides Diropa's phone number: +55 (79) 99152-7868.
