EmpregAju is the official jobs portal of the City of Aracaju, bringing together vacancies from partner companies, citizen registration and employment-intermediation services provided by the Municipal Foundation for Job Training (Fundat). The service is free. To use the platform efficiently, the safest route is to create an account with up-to-date information, complete your profile with professional details, use the vacancy-page filters and check the requirements before clicking “Candidatar-se” (Apply).
Important as of September 8, 2026: opportunities are dynamic. The public page displays job cards marked “Ativa” (Active), with publication dates and details that can change during the day. Therefore, check the current EmpregAju vacancy list when you apply instead of relying on an old list or only on the counters shown on the home page.
1. How to create a citizen account on EmpregAju
On the registration page, choose the Cidadão (Citizen) account type, intended for people looking for courses and job vacancies. The current public form asks for the following basic information:
- full name;
- email address;
- CPF taxpayer ID;
- phone number;
- date of birth;
- postal code (CEP);
- full address;
- city and state;
- a password of at least eight characters and password confirmation.
You must also accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Registration can be started at empregaju.aracaju.se.gov.br/register. Use an email address and phone number you can access, because outdated contact information may make it harder to move forward with an opportunity.
2. What to prepare before completing your profile
The initial registration does not replace a well-completed professional profile. Because intermediation depends on the match between a candidate and a vacancy, it is useful to gather information that describes your background accurately. Have the following ready:
- employment history, including roles and approximate dates;
- education and professional-training courses;
- certificates relevant to jobs that require specific qualifications;
- professional licenses, council registrations or a driver’s license when required;
- career goals and areas of interest;
- up-to-date contact and address information.
These are recommended preparation items for keeping the profile consistent with available jobs; not all of them necessarily appear as mandatory fields in the first account-creation form. For people with disabilities, specific vacancies may require supporting documentation according to the published requirements.
3. How to filter jobs without missing opportunities
The opportunities page provides keyword search and filters. In the current public list, results can be refined by area, contract type, work arrangement and location. The interface also allows sorting by newest, highest salary, company name in alphabetical order or location.
A practical strategy is to start with only a few filters. Search first by job title or an area term such as “sales”, “maintenance” or “administrative”. Then narrow by work arrangement or contract type. If no results appear, remove one filter at a time: a compatible role may be listed under a different title from the one you expected.
Do not use the home-page counter as your only reference
On September 8, 2026, the portal home page at times displayed zeroed counters while also showing active vacancy cards. To determine whether opportunities are available, use the vacancy list and check the “Ativa” status, publication date and details of each listing.
4. What to check before clicking “Candidatar-se”
Public job cards may show the role, contract type, work arrangement, location, number of openings, a brief activity description and, when provided, salary or salary range. Before applying:
- open “Detalhes” (Details) and read the full requirements;
- compare the required education, experience, certifications and availability with your profile;
- update your profile if important information is missing;
- only then use the “Candidatar-se” button.
Applying to vacancies that genuinely match your profile tends to make the intermediation process more useful. Do not treat the button as a guarantee of an interview or hire: it records your interest in the opportunity and starts the analysis/referral stage.
5. What a Fundat call or referral means
Fundat acts as a bridge between workers and employers. In official employability materials, the City explains that the Foundation reviews profiles and refers candidates who match the characteristics requested for a vacancy. The final selection and hiring decision belong to the employer.
In practice, a call or referral should be understood as progress to the next stage, not as a guaranteed job. If you are contacted, confirm which vacancy is involved, follow the instructions you receive and keep your phone and email accessible. Do not pay to participate: EmpregAju presents itself as a 100% free service of the City of Aracaju.
6. If you applied and have not been called yet
A lack of an immediate call may simply mean the process is still under review, other profiles were referred first or the employer changed the vacancy process. The best actions are:
- review whether your profile is complete and up to date;
- check for new vacancies frequently;
- repeat searches using related keywords;
- verify whether the vacancy is still marked active;
- use Fundat’s official channels if you have questions about access or registration.
7. Service and support
The current portal lists Fundat service at Rua João Pessoa, 127, Centro, Aracaju, phone (79) 3179-1331 and email empregaju@aracaju.se.gov.br. The hours displayed on EmpregAju are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Because hours and service locations may change, check the portal footer before traveling.
