Jyu-Oh Mujin Dandivine on Oct. 7: story, staff and what Brazil still needs to know

The original combining-robot anime premieres in Japan on October 7. Here is the confirmed story, staff and cast, plus why Brazilian availability still depends on an official announcement.

Jyu-Oh Mujin Dandivine now has a confirmed Japanese TV date and broadcast schedule: its rollout begins on October 7, 2026. The original combining-robot anime is the first entry in the Gattai-shin Series, a project created to mark Good Smile Company's 25th anniversary. For viewers in Brazil, however, one distinction matters: the Japanese broadcast is confirmed, but as of September 2, 2026, there is no official announcement of a platform, simulcast, subtitles or dubbing for the Brazilian market in the official channels reviewed.

What is already confirmed

  • Japan premiere: October 7, 2026 on TOKYO MX, BS11, Gunma TV and Tochigi TV at 24:30 in Japanese late-night scheduling; Chukyo TV also starts on October 7 at 26:32, while MBS starts on October 10 at 26:08.
  • Advance screening: a special screening is scheduled for October 4 in Tokyo, ahead of the television premiere.
  • Project format: this is an original anime and the first title in the Gattai-shin Series, Good Smile Company's anniversary initiative built around new combining-robot works and products developed alongside them.
  • Expanded cast: eight additional performers were announced in late August, joining the previously revealed main trio.

These points are listed on the official anime website, the Aniplex page and Good Smile Company's corporate announcement. The October 7 premiere and October 4 advance screening were also reported by Crunchyroll News.

What is Jyu-Oh Mujin Dandivine about?

The premise begins twenty years after the combining robot Dandivine repelled the mysterious enemy known as Aposdoll. The world enjoyed two decades of peace, but the toy manufacturer that had prospered through Dandivine merchandise went into decline after relying too heavily on that brand. Genjuro Shijima, the company's president and the protagonist's grandfather, wants the robot to return even if that means disturbing the peace.

Then an Aposdoll reappears in Tokyo. Amid the panic, high school student Gekiha Shijima is led by his uncle Yusaku Kuroiwa, a former main pilot, into Dandivine. From there, the series combines the threat of a returning enemy with an unusual layer for the genre: the relationship between heroism, nostalgia for super robots and the commercial interests of a toy company that needs its biggest icon to become relevant again.

The main trio consists of Takuma Terashima as Gekiha Shijima, Haruka Shiraishi as Akane Kuzumi and Saya Aizawa as Kirei Shijima. On August 27, the official site added eight cast members: Nao Toyama (Haru), Aya Yamane (Natsu), Misaki Kuno (Aki), Asuna Tomari (Go Sera), Katsuyuki Konishi (Yusaku Kuroiwa), Ryotaro Okiayu (Daigo Shijima), Atsushi Ono (Genjuro Shijima) and Ruriko Aoki (Yuga Shinonome).

Why Good Smile's project is part of the story

Dandivine was not introduced simply as another seasonal anime. Good Smile describes the Gattai-shin Series as a long-term project meant to release new combining-robot works and related toys in a coordinated way. The company announced Dandivine as the first title in this 25th-anniversary initiative and has already positioned robot products within the launch strategy.

That helps explain why the story itself plays with a toy manufacturer that depends on a famous robot: the commercial element exists not only outside the fiction but also inside the officially presented conflict. Even so, this is an interpretation of the project's design; it does not mean the series will be an industry satire or allow its final tone to be predicted before broadcast.

What has not yet been announced for Brazil

As of September 2, 2026, the official pages reviewed provide Japanese broadcasters and times but do not publish a list of international streaming services. The following therefore still require specific confirmation:

  • which platform will hold the rights in Brazil;
  • whether there will be a same-day simulcast with Japanese television;
  • which subtitle languages will be available;
  • whether Portuguese dubbing will be produced and, if so, when it will arrive;
  • whether the series will receive simultaneous or delayed international distribution.

The existence of Dandivine articles on Crunchyroll News does not by itself confirm Crunchyroll licensing. The service's editorial arm reports on series that do not necessarily enter its streaming catalog. Confirmation for Brazil needs to come from a distribution announcement, catalog page, official release calendar or a statement from the companies involved.

The next official checkpoint to watch

Aniplex has announced the digital event Aniplex One Focus for September 12, 2026, with Dandivine listed among the participating works and a promise of new information across multiple titles. That makes the date a legitimate checkpoint, but it does not allow anyone to claim in advance that there will be news about Brazil, international streaming or dubbing.

Until such an update appears, the safest reading is straightforward: Jyu-Oh Mujin Dandivine premieres on Japanese television on October 7, its story, staff and cast are largely defined, but its official availability in Brazil has not yet been announced.
