Pokémon Horizons enters its Kitakami phase on September 25 with Ogerpon, the Loyal Three and the Treasures of Ruin

The September 18 trailer confirms Kitakami, Ogerpon, the Loyal Three and the Treasures of Ruin, but it does not announce a Netflix release date for this phase.

A new Pokémon Horizons trailer released on September 18, 2026 confirms a clear shift in focus for the next episodes airing in Japan. Starting September 25, the Rising Volt Tacklers reach Kitakami, Ogerpon enters the story directly, and the promotional material also brings together the Loyal Three and all four Treasures of Ruin. The main scheduling caveat is important: September 25 is a Japanese broadcast date and should not be treated as a Netflix release date for this material.

September 25 starts a new phase within Wonder Voyage

There is an important nuance in how the update should be described. Wonder Voyage does not premiere on September 25. The arc had already started on Japanese television on May 22, 2026. What the September 18 trailer introduces is a new stage of that journey, now placing Kitakami and its legendary Pokémon at the center of the promotion.

Material published by the anime's official Japanese account and reported by Crunchyroll says the Rising Volt Tacklers are heading to Kitakami and that Navi encounters Ogerpon. Japanese listings also identify the September 25 installment as episode 151. It is therefore more precise to describe this as the Kitakami phase within Wonder Voyage rather than the debut of an entirely new arc under a different title.

What the trailer confirms

  • Kitakami joins the group's route: the region introduced in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC becomes the setting for the next developments.
  • Ogerpon enters the story: the preview makes Navi's encounter with the masked Pokémon one of the central elements of the September 25 episode.
  • The Loyal Three are present: Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti appear in the promotional material.
  • The Treasures of Ruin are also in play: Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu are assembled in the new visual and trailer.

Ogerpon and the Loyal Three come from The Teal Mask

Ogerpon, Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti were introduced in the games through The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask, a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet expansion set in Kitakami. The anime's trip to the region therefore creates a direct connection with this part of the games.

Ogerpon is especially associated with masks that change its form and type. The official Pokémon Pokédex records the variations tied to those masks. Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti make up the trio known as the Loyal Three, figures tied to Kitakami's mythology.

The trailer confirms their presence and encounters, but not a full adaptation of the DLC campaign. There is not yet enough information to say that the anime will repeat the same order of events, relationships or revelations seen in the games.

The Treasures of Ruin broaden the story beyond Kitakami

Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu form a different group of legendary Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. In the games, they are tied to shrines across Paldea and do not originate from the same storyline as Ogerpon and the Loyal Three. The official Pokédex lists the four together before the Pokémon introduced through the Kitakami content.

Putting all four in the same promotional package suggests that the coming episodes will draw on more than one legendary group from the Scarlet and Violet generation. That is different from saying they will all appear in the same episode or carry equal narrative weight. The trailer and visual confirm that they are part of this phase, but they do not define the scope of each appearance.

What this means for Netflix viewers

In Brazil, Netflix currently lists Pokémon Horizons: Season 3: Rising Hope as a separate catalog entry. That international release structure does not necessarily follow the numbering or weekly pace of Japanese television.

For that reason, September 25, 2026 is not a confirmed Netflix premiere date. It refers to the next episode of the Japanese broadcast. As of the September 18 announcement, the consulted sources do not state when the Kitakami, Ogerpon, Loyal Three and Treasures of Ruin material will be added to the Brazilian catalog or other international markets.

What remains unconfirmed

  • the Netflix release date for this phase in Brazil;
  • how many episodes will be devoted to Kitakami;
  • whether each member of the Loyal Three and each Treasure of Ruin will receive a dedicated episode;
  • how much of The Teal Mask will be adapted directly;
  • whether Netflix or other international distributors will create a new season or part label for these episodes.

In short

The September 18 announcement confirms a significant expansion of Pokémon Horizons' Scarlet and Violet material beginning September 25 in Japan. Ogerpon, the Loyal Three and the Treasures of Ruin are now part of the promotional focus, with Kitakami as the immediate setting. For Netflix viewers, the key distinction is the calendar: the Japanese development is confirmed, but the international availability of this phase has not been dated by the sources consulted.
