How to apply
- Access the FCC Candidate Portal during the application period.
- Find the DPE-PB exam, read the application request and select the option code for the position or specialty.
- Complete the form and upload a recent individual photograph according to the organizer's instructions.
- If no fee waiver is granted, generate the payment slip on the FCC website. It may be generated until 10:00 p.m. on November 16, 2026, and payment must be completed by that date within banking hours.
- Keep proof of payment. The notice advises candidates to retain a copy of the paid slip, including for resolving any confirmation issue.
Once the application has been completed, the notice does not allow the position option code to be changed. If more than one application is made, only the last confirmed application will be considered under the notice's rules.
Who may request an application fee waiver
The waiver request must be submitted online from 10:00 a.m. on September 28 to 11:59 p.m. on September 29, 2026. Subject to the specific documentary requirements in the notice, the benefit is available to:

- regular breast milk donors who meet the required donation period and frequency;
- effective bone marrow donors with the required documentation;

- blood plasma donors to people convalescing from Covid-19 in the State of Paraíba, under the conditions set out in the notice.
The initial waiver decision is scheduled for October 7, with the post-appeal result scheduled for October 15. Applicants whose waiver is denied and who want to remain in the exam must regularize the application and pay the fee by November 16.
How the exams will work
All positions will have an objective multiple-choice exam, both eliminatory and classificatory, with 60 questions: 20 General Knowledge questions and 40 Specific Knowledge questions. General Knowledge carries weight 1 and Specific Knowledge carries weight 2. The specific syllabus depends on the selected position.
For Technician candidates, the exam is scheduled for the morning of February 28, 2027, with a duration of three hours. Analyst candidates will test in the afternoon and will also take a written essay exam, with four hours for the full set of assessments. The exams are initially scheduled for João Pessoa, with nearby cities potentially used if the capital's capacity is insufficient.

Reserved openings and reserve list
The notice provides reserved openings by position or specialty for persons with disabilities, Black candidates, Indigenous candidates, Quilombola candidates, members of traditional communities and trans candidates, subject to percentages and rounding rules. For existing openings and those that arise while the exam remains valid, the stated percentages are 5% for persons with disabilities, 25% for Black candidates, 3% for Indigenous candidates, 2% for Quilombola candidates, 1% for other traditional communities and 2% for trans candidates. In the immediate-opening table, two of the nine Technician openings are reserved for Black candidates.
In addition to the 20 immediate openings, the exam will create a reserve list. This does not guarantee appointment: additional calls depend on vacancies arising, institutional need, ranking order and the notice's rules. The exam will remain valid for two years from publication of the final result's homologation and may be extended once for the same period.
What to check before applying
- confirm that your education exactly matches the chosen position or specialty and, when applicable, that you will have valid professional registration at appointment;
- if you plan to request a fee waiver, gather the required documents in advance and do not miss the two-day window;
- verify the position option before completing the application because the notice does not provide for later changes;
- follow the FCC website for notices, results and any schedule changes;
- consult the DPE-PB Official Electronic Gazette and the Public Defender's Office official announcement for the institutional publication of the exam.
Because dates and procedures may be changed by later notices, the official notice and subsequent FCC and DPE-PB publications take precedence over third-party summaries.
