Updated September 3, 2026. The SEDUC-PA 2026 public service exam offers 2,000 immediate openings plus a reserve list for Professor Classe I, Education Specialist and administrative positions requiring either secondary or higher education. Applications are handled by FGV and, under item 4.1 of the official notice, remain open from 4:00 p.m. on August 31 through 4:00 p.m. on October 1, 2026, Brasília time.

Before choosing an opening, the most important step is to check the exact combination of position, qualification and Regional Education Directorate (DRE): that combination defines the unit in which the candidate competes and is ranked. The city selected for sitting the exam is a separate choice. FGV's official page centralizes the application system, official notice and any amendments for the SEDUC-PA 2026 exam.

What is open now and the main deadlines

  • Openings: 2,000, plus a reserve list.
  • Applications: from 08/31/2026 at 4:00 p.m. through 10/01/2026 at 4:00 p.m.
  • Fee payment: by 10/02/2026, subject to the collecting bank's service hours.
  • Exam locations: scheduled to be released on 11/23/2026.
  • Objective and written exams: 11/29/2026. Professors, Education Specialists and Analysts sit the exam in the morning; the Assistant position sits the exam in the afternoon.
  • Scheduled final result: 07/30/2027.

The calendar is provisional and may be changed by amendment. Monitoring the official FGV page is therefore part of the candidate's checklist.

Role families, requirements and pay

The notice distributes opportunities among teaching, specialist and administrative careers. The pay figures below come from Annex III and combine the base salary and allowances listed in the notice.

Role familyQualifications/areasMain requirementWorkweekPay listed in notice

Government and Education Management AssistantAdministrative areaCompleted secondary education30 hR$ 1,864.29

Some qualifications have important extra rules. For Special Education — AEE, for example, the notice requires a full teaching degree plus specific Special Education training of at least 360 hours under the conditions in item 3.3.3. For Special Education — Libras, item 3.3.4 requires a specific higher-education qualification in Letras: Libras or Letras: Libras/Portuguese as a second language. Candidates should check Annex III and the qualification rules in the full official notice before paying the fee.

Fees and how to apply

The application fees are R$ 185.00 for Professor Classe I and Education Specialist, R$ 135.00 for the other higher-education positions and R$ 85.00 for the secondary-education position.

  1. Open the FGV page for the exam and enter the application system.
  2. Complete the application form using your CPF and personal data.
  3. Select the position, qualification and DRE. This choice defines your competition and ranking unit.
  4. Select the city where you want to sit the exams and other in-person stages, from the locations listed in Annex XIII.
  5. If you will compete under a reserved-vacancy category, select the relevant category and upload the required documentation.
  6. If you need specialized assistance or additional time, make the request within the applicable period.
  7. Submit the form and generate the State Collection Document (DAE).
  8. Pay the DAE by 10/02/2026. It may be paid using the barcode through the listed banking network or by the QR Code/Pix code generated on the DAE itself.
  9. After FGV confirms the application, save the application confirmation and payment receipt.

After 4:00 p.m. on October 1, the application form will no longer be available. DAE reissuance is scheduled to remain available no later than 4:00 p.m. on October 2. The notice also states that after applications close, candidates may not change their position, qualification, competition DRE or exam city, except in situations expressly provided for in the notice.

Important: the notice contains an internal discrepancy on the fee-waiver deadline

The PDF contains an inconsistency that deserves attention. Item 5.2 says a fee-waiver request may be submitted until 4:00 p.m. on 09/03/2026, while Annex I — Provisional Calendar lists the end of fee-waiver requests as 09/02/2026. The waiver categories in the notice are: a person registered in Brazil's CadÚnico who belongs to a low-income family, a person with a disability, and a woman who is a victim of domestic and family violence and can prove economic vulnerability or insufficient resources.

Because two parts of the same notice give different dates, candidates should not assume which deadline the system will enforce without official confirmation. Anyone who qualifies for a waiver should check the application system, official notices and any amendments immediately on the official FGV page.

Education SpecialistYesYesYes — pedagogical management plan defenseYes

The objective exam has 60 questions: 30 on basic knowledge and 30 on specific knowledge. Where applicable, the written exam has two questions on subject-specific content, with answers of 15 to 30 lines each. To pass the objective exam, a candidate must obtain at least 50% of the points in each of its two parts and may not score zero in any subject. Where the written exam applies, the minimum score is 5 points.

The practical exam is exclusive to Professor Classe I and Education Specialist. For Professors, it consists of defending a lesson plan; for Education Specialists, a pedagogical management plan. It is worth 10 points, divided between the Plan (up to 4) and the Defense (up to 6). The academic-credentials assessment is classificatory, worth up to 3 points and considers only the highest qualification submitted; it does not apply to the Assistant position.

In addition, candidates applying under the disability reservation may undergo a biopsychosocial assessment, while candidates using reserved vacancies for Black and Brown, Indigenous or Quilombola people are subject to the identity-verification or documentary-verification procedures established in the notice.

Checklist before submitting the application

  1. Confirm the required qualification in Annex III, including any specific teaching qualification, specialization and professional-board registration when applicable.
  2. Check the DRE and opening distribution in Annex II; the DRE is part of the candidate's competition unit.
  3. Keep the DRE separate from the exam city: they are different choices serving different purposes.
  4. Review the competition category and documents required for disability, Black or Brown, Indigenous or Quilombola reservations, when applicable.
  5. Check specialized assistance and the deadline for medical reports if you need accommodations.
  6. Verify the correct fee for your role group before paying the DAE.
  7. Keep your receipts for both the application and payment.
  8. Avoid duplicate applications in the same exam session: if more than one application is completed for a position/qualification/DRE combination tested in the same session, the notice says only the latest one will remain valid and the earlier ones will be canceled.
  9. Mark November 23 and November 29 to check the exam location and attend the exam.
  10. Return to the FGV page before each stage to check amendments, call notices and official communications.

Reserved vacancies and exam validity

The notice reserves 5% of openings for people with disabilities. It also sets aside at least 30% for Black and Brown, Indigenous and Quilombola candidates: 20% for Black and Brown people, 5% for Indigenous people and 5% for Quilombola people, subject to the distribution and rounding rules in the notice.

The exam is valid for two years from the publication of the final result's homologation and may be extended once for the same period at the Administration's discretion. This matters because the exam also creates a reserve list that may be used during the validity period as vacancies arise and the applicable rules are observed.

Where to track the notice, amendments and upcoming documents

Use the official FGV page for the SEDUC-PA 2026 exam as the main reference. That is where candidates should track the official notice, applications, amendments, exam locations, answer keys, results and call notices. To verify the wording used in this guide, also see Official Notice No. 001/2026 — SEPLAD/SEDUC.

The most efficient order for deciding whether to apply is: locate your position in Annex II, validate the qualification and pay in Annex III, review the applicable stages in the notice and Annex V, check the calendar, and only then submit the application. This reduces the risk of paying a fee for a position, qualification or DRE combination that does not match your profile.
