As of September 4, 2026, NAV Brasil Public Recruitment Notice No. 01/2026 is moving on two different tracks. For most positions, FGV published the preliminary objective-test result on September 1, and the general appeal window against that result ran on September 2 and 3. For the Pedagogue and Psychologist positions, however, that preliminary result does not apply: both positions moved to a separate schedule after the decision to retest only the Specific Knowledge section.

This means candidates should identify their position before consulting any list or date. The official FGV page concentrates the operational files for the recruitment process, while the NAV Brasil recruitment page serves as an institutional index of the latest publications.

Where the NAV Brasil 2026 recruitment process stands now

For positions other than Pedagogue and Psychologist, the preliminary objective-test result was published on September 1. The schedule revised on August 31 set September 2 and 3 for appeals against that result and, for this group, schedules the definitive objective-test result for September 15. On the same date, calls for the Biopsychosocial Assessment and Heteroidentification Interview are expected, where applicable. The final result of the first phase for these positions is scheduled for October 26.

Pedagogue and Psychologist were expressly excluded from those dates starting with the preliminary objective-test result. The general schedule refers both positions to Notice No. 04/2026, which created a separate sequence of retesting, appeals and results through December 21.

How to check the preliminary result without mixing up the positions

  • If your position is neither Pedagogue nor Psychologist: consult the preliminary-result PDF and locate your registration number or name. The file shows scores by section, the test score and the candidate's status.
  • If you are shown as unsuccessful at this stage: the document itself instructs you to review your performance through the individual consultation link made available by FGV.
  • If you applied for Pedagogue or Psychologist: do not treat the absence of your name from this preliminary result as a conclusion about your status. The official schedule excludes these positions from this publication because the Specific Knowledge test will be reapplied.
  • Appeals against the general preliminary result: the scheduled period was September 2-3. By September 4, that window has closed; any new opportunity should only be assumed if FGV or NAV Brasil issues a later official publication.

Pedagogue and Psychologist: who is included in the retest

According to FGV's August 31 official notice, an inconsistency was identified in the Specific Knowledge test booklets for the Pedagogue and Psychologist positions. The Organizing Committee therefore decided to reapply only that portion of the objective test. Tests for all other positions were unaffected.

Notice No. 04/2026 defines who must participate: only Pedagogue and Psychologist candidates who attended the August 2, 2026 test and whose names appear in Annex I. The correct check is therefore to search for your name or registration number directly in that annex.

  • The 40 Basic Knowledge questions administered on August 2 remain valid.
  • The 30 Specific Knowledge questions, numbers 41 through 70, administered that day are disregarded and replaced by the retest questions.
  • The objective-test score for these two positions will be the sum of correct answers from the already completed basic section and the new specific section.
  • Earlier appeals concerning questions 41 through 70 became moot; appeals concerning questions 1 through 40 continue under the procedure set by the opening notice.

September 27 retest: time and requirements

The retest will take place on September 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Brasília official time. Test locations will be published on September 21 on the FGV page. Annex I of Notice No. 04/2026 already states the test city for each called candidate, but candidates must still verify the exact address when the new publication is released.

  • Arrive at least 1 hour and 30 minutes before the scheduled start.
  • Gates will close 30 minutes before the test begins.
  • Bring a blue- or black-ink ballpoint pen in transparent material, an original identity document, and proof of registration or payment of the application fee.
  • Special-assistance arrangements approved for the August 2 test remain valid. New requests arising from events occurring after May 28 may be submitted to FGV under the rules of Notice No. 04/2026.
  • Failure to attend the retest is treated by the notice as withdrawal and results in elimination from the recruitment process.

How to verify your participation now

  1. Identify the position on your application. This determines which documentary track applies to you.
  2. Other positions: open the preliminary result and verify your registration number, name, score and status. If you filed an appeal within the September 2-3 period, follow FGV until the definitive result scheduled for September 15.
  3. Pedagogue or Psychologist: open Notice No. 04/2026 and search Annex I for your name or registration number. If listed, note the city shown there and return to the FGV page on September 21 to verify the exact retest location.
  4. Use the FGV page as the operational reference. It is where consultation, appeal, location and result links are posted. The NAV Brasil page is useful for confirming and consolidating the institutional publications.
  5. Always check the date of the file. Because the recruitment process is ongoing, a later publication may supersede an earlier schedule.

In short, as of September 4 the next general milestone is September 15 for positions not affected by the retest. For Pedagogue and Psychologist, the next milestone is publication of locations on September 21, followed by the retest on September 27. Treating these as two separate tracks avoids the main confusion created by the late-August and early-September publications.
