The 2026/27 Nations League returns in November to close the league phase. In League A, matchdays 5 and 6 comprise 16 matches from November 12 to 17, 2026, completing the six games played by each national team across the four groups. UEFA's official schedule uses CET as its reference; the times below have already been converted to Brasília time.
The window is separate from the September and October block. The first four matchdays run from September 24 to October 6, while the final two were set aside for November 12 to 17. It is in this second window that each group's two quarterfinalists are determined, along with the positions that lead to the promotion/relegation playoff or direct relegation.

Why the times appear as 2:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. in Brazil
UEFA lists the league-phase schedule in CET and sets 20:45 as the standard kickoff time unless another time is indicated. In League A, the two November matches scheduled for 18:00 CET are Türkiye vs Belgium on November 12 and Norway vs Wales on November 14. Converted to Brasília time, those matches start at 2:00 p.m.; the 20:45 CET matches start at 4:45 p.m.
The calculation uses Brasília's GMT-3 time zone, according to Brazil's official legal time, and the situation in effect on August 27, 2026, when daylight saving time remains suspended in the country. Because the matches are still in the future, any later change by UEFA or to Brazil's legal time would require a fresh check before kickoff.
How the League A groups look heading into the final stretch
Group A1 includes France, Italy, Belgium and Türkiye. Its fifth-matchday games take place on November 12, and the group is decided on November 15 with Belgium vs Italy and France vs Türkiye.
Group A2 consists of Germany, Netherlands, Serbia and Greece. Matchday 5 is played on November 13, while the sixth and final matchday is set for November 16, with Germany vs Netherlands and Greece vs Serbia.
Group A3 is made up of Spain, Croatia, England and Czechia. Matchday 5 takes place on November 12 and matchday 6 on November 15. The finale includes Spain vs England and Croatia vs Czechia on the same day.
Group A4 includes Portugal, Denmark, Norway and Wales. The penultimate matchday is on November 14, and League A closes its schedule on November 17 with Denmark vs Norway and Wales vs Portugal.
What matchday 6 actually brings to a close
Each League A national team plays the other three teams in its group home and away, for a total of six matches. After matchday 6, the winners and runners-up of the four groups advance to the quarterfinals, played over two legs in March 2027. The quarterfinal winners move on to the final tournament in June.
For teams finishing third, the Nations League season does not automatically end: League A's third-placed teams contest a promotion/relegation playoff against the League B runners-up. The fourth-placed team in each League A group, meanwhile,
is relegated directly to League B. UEFA has reserved March 25 to 30, 2027 for the quarterfinals and for these A/B and B/C league playoffs.
That is why the November window is not merely the chronological continuation of the schedule. It closes the League A standings and separates three distinct sporting outcomes: quarterfinals for the top two, a playoff for third place and relegation for fourth.
What still cannot be known before November
Because the competition has not yet started as of this update, it is not possible to predict which national teams will reach the final two matchdays already qualified, eliminated or needing a combination of results. That scenario can only be calculated after the first four matchdays, played between September and October.
To follow the correct matchday, the most useful reference is the date split: A1 and A3 finish their groups on November 15, A2 ends on November 16 and A4 closes League A on November 17. The times on this page were consolidated from UEFA's official schedule and converted to Brasília time.
