The UEFA Women's Champions League 2026/27 league phase draw took place on 4 September in Nyon and determined the six opponents for each of the 18 clubs. Every team will play three matches at home and three away, facing two teams from each of the three pots. The opponent list is already official; the match order, the exact date within each matchday window and the kick-off times had not yet been published at the time of the draw.
UEFA said the complete fixture list, including dates and kick-off times, will be communicated on 5 September. Until then, what can already be checked with certainty is each club's opponents, home/away status and the base dates for the six matchdays. Below, each opponent is shown with its pot in parentheses, making it easier to see how the draw assigned one opponent from every pot at home and another away.

The pots were formed using the club coefficient rankings at the start of the season, with holders Barcelona as the top seed in Pot 1. The composition was: Pot 1 — Barcelona, OL Lyonnes, Chelsea, Bayern München, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain; Pot 2 — Real Madrid, Juventus, Häcken, Roma, Benfica and Paris FC; Pot 3 — Manchester City, OH Leuven, HB Køge, Austria Wien, Inter and Servette FCCF.
Benfica: the six opponents
Benfica were handed a path that mixes two recent European champions with teams of different levels of continental experience. In Lisbon, they will host Bayern München, Roma and Austria Wien. Away from home, they will visit Arsenal, Juventus and HB Køge.
- Home: Bayern München (Pot 1), Roma (Pot 2) and Austria Wien (Pot 3).
- Away: Arsenal (Pot 1), Juventus (Pot 2) and HB Køge (Pot 3).
The key point for supporters now is not to read this list as the fixture sequence. UEFA itself stresses that the opponents announced after the draw are not listed in match order.
Which matchups stand out
The format creates major games already in the league phase because clubs can also face opponents from their own pot. Barcelona, for example, host Arsenal and travel to Bayern München; Arsenal host OL Lyonnes and go to Barcelona; Chelsea host Paris Saint-Germain and visit OL Lyonnes. Bayern will have Barcelona and Manchester City at home, while also travelling to Paris Saint-Germain.
Among the Pot 2 clubs, Real Madrid host Paris Saint-Germain, Paris FC and Inter, and travel to Bayern, Roma and Manchester City. Roma host Barcelona and Real Madrid, while Manchester City, in Pot 3, will have Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid at home and Bayern away.
What is already fixed in the calendar
The six league phase windows have already been published by UEFA. They work as base dates; on matchdays spread over two days, it is still necessary to know on which day each game will be played.
| Matchday | Base date |
|---|---|
| 1 | 22/23 September 2026 |
| 2 | 30 September/1 October 2026 |
| 3 | 28/29 October 2026 |
| 4 | 10/11 November 2026 |
| 5 | 18/19 November 2026 |
| 6 | 16 December 2026 |
What is still missing and when to check
After the draw, three practical pieces are still needed before the calendar becomes fully usable for supporters planning to watch or travel: the order of each club's six matches, the exact day on matchdays with two possible dates and the kick-off time. According to UEFA, the full schedule with dates and times will be communicated on 5 September 2026.
To avoid confusion, it helps to separate the official sources by purpose: the draw result page lists opponents and home/away status; the guide to the 18 participants organises clubs by pot and coefficient; and the competition dates guide keeps the league and knockout windows. UEFA also stated in its official draw preview that the complete fixture list with dates and kick-off times would be released the following day.
How qualification works in the league phase
The 18 clubs form a single table, but each team plays only six matches against six different opponents. The top four finishers advance directly to the quarter-finals. Teams finishing from fifth to 12th enter the knockout phase play-offs, which decide the other four quarter-final places.
This structure makes the draw especially important: there is no fixed group in which every club plays every other club. Knowing the assigned opponents and where each match will be played is therefore the first part of the calendar; the complete sequence is only final once UEFA publishes the fixture grid.
