NFL Week 2 has 16 games, and the injury picture needs careful reading because not every player listed on a practice report has received a final game designation. The main cutoff for this guide is the NFL's official roundup updated on September 18, 2026 at 3:48 p.m. ET, which is 4:48 p.m. in Brasília. When a team had not yet published final game status at that cutoff, the table keeps that status pending instead of turning a limited practice or missed practice into an unconfirmed OUT designation.
The times below are already converted to Brasília time. Thursday's Lions vs. Bills game has already been played, but it remains in the table to complete the 16 game Week 2 slate.
Who is out and who is in doubt in Week 2
| Brasília time | Matchup | Out | Doubtful or questionable | Update note |

Bengals: no confirmed OUT designation in the supplemental update reviewed. | Joe Burrow appeared on the report during the week with a back issue, but a later NFL update said he was a full participant and had no game designation. The final Bengals vs. Texans block was not yet complete in the roundup used as the cutoff. | This row combines the official roundup with a Sept. 18 supplemental update, so anything without a final designation remains marked as pending. |
| Sun. Sept. 20, 2:00 p.m. BRT | Pittsburgh Steelers @ New England Patriots | Steelers: Joey Porter Jr. Patriots: Dametrious Crownover. | Steelers: Michael Pittman and Troy Fautanu, QUESTIONABLE. | Sun. Sept. 20, 2:00 p.m. BRT | Cleveland Browns @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Browns: Teven Jenkins (back). Buccaneers: Todd Bowles said the final report would have no players listed OUT or DOUBTFUL. | Browns: Tyson Campbell, QUESTIONABLE. Buccaneers: Jalen McMillan, QUESTIONABLE; Jacob Parrish was expected to be a game day decision. | The Browns published their designations at 1:50 p.m. ET. Tampa updated its situation after Friday practice. |
| Sun. Sept. 20, 2:00 p.m. BRT | Philadelphia Eagles @ Tennessee Titans | Eagles: Jonathan Greenard. Titans: no confirmed OUT designation in the final block available at the cutoff. | Eagles: Andrew Mukuba, QUESTIONABLE. Titans: the practice tracker showed Cedric Gray as a full participant and James Williams limited, but no final game designation was posted at the cutoff. | Practice status should not be converted into OUT or QUESTIONABLE without a game designation. |
| Sun. Sept. 20, 5:05 p.m. BRT | Jacksonville Jaguars @ Denver Broncos | No confirmed OUT designation in the game-status roundup used as the cutoff. | Practice pages listed limited players on both teams, but final game designations had not yet been published in the block reviewed. | The row remains in the table to cover all 16 games without inventing a final designation. |
| Sun. Sept. 20, 5:05 p.m. BRT | Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers | No additional confirmed OUT designation in the roundup used as the cutoff. | Raiders: Brock Bowers, DOUBTFUL in a Sept. 18 NFL update. Chargers: final game designations were not yet in the roundup block reviewed. | The NFL update specifically highlighted Bowers as unlikely to play. |
| Sun. Sept. 20, 5:25 p.m. BRT | Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals | Seahawks: Sam Darnold (glute) is out, with Drew Lock confirmed as the starter. Cardinals: no final OUT designation confirmed in the block reviewed. | Other final game designations were still pending in Friday's tracker. | Seattle confirmed Darnold's absence on the team's official site. |
| Sun. Sept. 20, 5:25 p.m. BRT | Washington Commanders @ Dallas Cowboys | Commanders: Frankie Luvu and Chig Okonkwo. Cowboys: the team confirmed DeMarvion Overshown would miss the game. | The complete final report had not yet been consolidated in the roundup at the cutoff; Malik Hooker had been missing practice with a fractured forearm. | Washington published the two ruled-out players at 1:33 p.m. ET on Sept. 18. |
| Sun. Sept. 20, 5:25 p.m. BRT | Miami Dolphins @ San Francisco 49ers | Dolphins: Chop Robinson (concussion) and Ronnie Harrison Jr. (hamstring). 49ers: Jake Tonges and De'Zhaun Stribling were listed out in a Sept. 18 injury update. | Other final game designations were still being updated at the cutoff reviewed. | Miami's two absences were confirmed by coach Jeff Hafley and reported in a Sept. 18 update. |
| Sun. Sept. 20, 9:20 p.m. BRT | Indianapolis Colts @ Kansas City Chiefs | Colts: Ashton Dulin. Chiefs: Josh Simmons and Chamarri Conner. | Colts: DJ Giddens, QUESTIONABLE. Chiefs: Chris Jones and Mansoor Delane, QUESTIONABLE. | Final game designations were published in the NFL roundup. |
| Mon. Sept. 21, 9:15 p.m. BRT | New York Giants @ Los Angeles Rams | No final OUT designation had been published by the Friday cutoff for the Monday game. The Rams were listed with no injuries reported in the official tracker. | The Giants were still in the practice-report phase, with Paulson Adebo not participating and several players limited, but no final game designation at that point. | Because this is Monday Night Football, the final report arrives later than reports for Sunday games. |
How to read OUT, DOUBTFUL and QUESTIONABLE
OUT means the player will not play. DOUBTFUL means the player is unlikely to play. QUESTIONABLE means participation is not certain. These game designations are different from practice status. A player can miss a practice and still avoid an OUT designation for the game.
For readers setting fantasy lineups, checking starter availability or simply tracking absences, the game designation is the most useful field. Closer to kickoff, the inactive list provides the latest operational confirmation.
Main injury points to watch on Sept. 18
- Atlanta: Michael Penix Jr. is OUT and Tua Tagovailoa is DOUBTFUL, while Chris Lindstrom and A.J. Terrell are QUESTIONABLE.
- Baltimore: three players are OUT, Zay Flowers is DOUBTFUL and three additional starters are QUESTIONABLE.
- Minnesota: Kyler Murray is OUT with a concussion, and Carson Wentz has been identified as the starter against Chicago.
- Seattle: Sam Darnold is OUT, and Drew Lock is confirmed as the starter against Arizona.
- Las Vegas: the NFL highlighted Brock Bowers as DOUBTFUL for the game against the Chargers.
- Miami: Chop Robinson and Ronnie Harrison Jr. were confirmed out against San Francisco.
Why some games still show pending status
Final injury reports are not released at exactly the same time. Teams playing Sunday usually close their game designations on Friday, but publication timing varies. Monday Night Football between the Giants and Rams follows a later reporting window, so on Friday afternoon the official tracker still showed the New York Giants in the practice-report phase and the Rams with no injuries reported, without a final game-designation block.
It is also important not to mix two different data points. The injury tracker can show DNP, meaning the player did not participate in practice, or LP, meaning limited participation. Those practice codes can show a trend, but they do not replace OUT, DOUBTFUL or QUESTIONABLE.
Sources and update cutoff
The main sources are the NFL's official Week 2 player-status roundup and the official NFL injury tracker. For updates published before the roundup had consolidated every matchup, this guide also checked official pages from the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Commanders and Seattle Seahawks. For Miami and Houston, supplemental Sept. 18 updates from Yahoo Sports and NFLTradeRumors were used, with the distinction between primary and secondary sourcing kept explicit.
Because injuries and game designations can change before game day, check the official tracker again before kickoff, especially for matchups where the table says the final designation is pending.
