Champions Shanghai Drops and Shotcall rewards follow different rules. For viewing Drops, you need to meet the minimum watch time during the specified stages. Shotcall, however, requires active participation through the official VCT Twitch broadcast on desktop, either by earning points or achieving a high placement on a map.

What are the Champions Shanghai Drops?

Riot Games announced two Drops tied to live Champions Shanghai viewing. The first can be earned during Groups and Playoffs. The second is reserved for the Grand Final.

RewardHow to earn it
“Prepared” TitleWatch for at least 30 minutes during Groups or Playoffs.
“Stamp of Approval” SprayWatch for at least 30 minutes during the Grand Final.

The two items therefore do not use the same viewing window. To get both, viewers need at least 30 minutes of eligible viewing during Groups or Playoffs and another 30 minutes during the Grand Final.

How do Shotcall rewards work?

Shotcall is a live prediction experience integrated into Twitch. During matches, viewers can predict maps, rounds, and key moments. Correct calls earn points and contribute to the Shotcall leaderboard throughout the tournament.

RewardRequirement
“The Catch” TitleEarn 50 Shotcall points during Champions Shanghai.
“Crab Buddy” Gun BuddyEarn 300 Shotcall points during Champions Shanghai.
“Trophy” Player CardFinish in the top 3% of any map during Champions Shanghai.

Shotcall is desktop-only on Twitch

This is the key difference between Shotcall and ordinary viewing Drops. Riot says Shotcall is available on desktop through the official VCT Twitch broadcast. Simply leaving a stream open on another platform does not replace the participation required for Shotcall point and placement objectives.

If you only want the viewing Drops, Riot's published rule is to watch live for the required minimum period. For Shotcall rewards, you need to play Shotcall on Twitch desktop and meet the relevant target.

When is the Grand Final?

The official Champions Shanghai schedule runs from September 24 through October 18, 2026. The Grand Final is scheduled for October 18. That is the broadcast where the 30-minute minimum applies to the “Stamp of Approval” Spray.

What to check before watching

  • For the “Prepared” Title, set aside at least 30 minutes during Groups or Playoffs.
  • For the “Stamp of Approval” Spray, watch at least 30 minutes of the Grand Final.
  • For Shotcall rewards, use the official VCT Twitch broadcast on desktop and participate in predictions.
  • Prize and reward eligibility may vary by region because of local regulations.

Riot published the reward rules on September 23, 2026. Check the official Champions Shanghai: Watch and Earn page for possible updates.
