São Paulo Oktoberfest 2026 takes place at the Events Arena in Ibirapuera Park from September 18 to October 4. Choosing the best day is not simply a matter of “weekend or weekday”: the edition has 13 event dates, different attractions and published entry times that suit different profiles. Visitors with children will usually get more daylight and time on Saturdays and Sundays; people focused on a specific concert should choose by artist; and those who mainly want food, themed areas and the festival atmosphere should also consider the special Wednesday and Thursday dates.

São Paulo Oktoberfest 2026 dates

The schedule is divided into three blocks: September 18–20, September 23–27 and September 30–October 4. The event is held at the Events Arena in Ibirapuera Park, with access indicated through Gate 10. The São Paulo Municipal Department of Education lists all 13 dates and start times: 5 p.m. on the published Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

There is, however, an official discrepancy worth checking before you travel. The São Paulo Oktoberfest FAQ says Fridays run from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., while the Ticketmaster sales page says 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The city listing also uses 5 p.m. for September 18, September 25 and October 2. Because that one-hour difference can affect arrival plans and transportation, confirm the latest operational time on your ticket and official channels on the day.

Day-by-day program: what is published

The table below combines the dates and start times published by the city with the music program listed on the same page. The official event website also presents the edition’s attractions. Lineups can change, so treat this as a snapshot of what had been published before opening day.

Which day is best for each profile?

For children and families

Saturdays and Sundays are the simplest choice because the published entry time is 2 p.m., leaving more daylight to explore the venue. The event FAQ says children up to 11 years, 11 months and 29 days old do not pay admission and that minors may enter when accompanied by parents or legal guardians. Ticketmaster describes the event as all ages, with under-18s accompanied by legal guardians.

Among weekend dates, September 19 combines a Saturday opening with Terra Celta; September 20 includes Queen Experience; September 27 features the Elton John tribute; and October 3 pairs a Saturday afternoon with the Beatles tribute. The best choice depends more on the family’s musical taste than on major structural differences between these days.

For visitors choosing by music

The easiest dates to distinguish are those tied to a clearly published special attraction: Sep. 19, Terra Celta; Sep. 20, Queen Experience; Sep. 26, Rockin’ Stones; Sep. 27, Elton John by Rafael Dentini; Oct. 3, Hey Jude – The Beatles Tribute Show; and Oct. 4, Os Mutantes. If the concert is the deciding factor, check the schedule again close to the date because stage times and lineup changes may be updated.

For food, beer and the Oktoberfest atmosphere

You do not need to chase the biggest show to enjoy the core concept. The official website highlights German food, draft beer, the Biertent, the Biergarten and cultural programming as central parts of the experience. The FAQ describes the Biertent as the large covered show tent with bars and food, while the Biergarten is an outdoor area with bands, cultural groups, beer bars and food.

That makes September 23, September 24, September 30 and October 1 reasonable options for people who mainly want to walk around, eat and socialize without building the entire visit around a large tribute act. That does not mean these days will necessarily be quiet; they are simply less dependent on a broad-appeal special concert.

For closing day

October 4 is objectively different for two reasons: it is the last day of the edition and Os Mutantes are on the published program. The trade-off is that closing days and high-profile attractions can draw more demand. If this is your preferred date, buying ahead reduces the risk of later ticket-tier changes or lack of availability.

Buying in advance: what matters

Ticketmaster states that individual tickets are subject to price-tier changes based on date or remaining inventory. For online sales, the page lists a 14% service fee, a limit of six tickets per CPF, including up to two half-price tickets, and payment by credit card or Pix. Food and drinks are sold separately.

The event also offers a solidarity ticket. According to the official FAQ, anyone may purchase it by bringing 1 kg of non-perishable food on the event day. Visitors entitled to statutory half-price admission should bring the required proof.

For people planning to attend many dates, there is the SPOF 2026 Pass. Ticketmaster lists it at R$550, including access to all 13 event days, one entry per day, R$500 in consumption credit, an official mug and a lanyard. The credit is linked to the purchaser’s CPF, is personal, cannot be converted to cash and unused amounts are not refunded. The pass page states there is no online service fee for this product.

In practice, compare the pass with individual tickets only after estimating how many days you will actually attend and how much of the R$500 credit you expect to use. For a one-day visit, the more important decision is still choosing the right date and buying in the available ticket tier.

What is included — and what costs extra

The official FAQ says attractions are included in admission, including the Bierpark, except for areas reserved for guests. Food and beverages are charged separately. On-site consumption uses a cashless system that can be topped up by credit or debit card, cash or Pix.

Pets are allowed in the outdoor area, with restrictions in restaurants, food-processing areas and locations that may pose risks. There is also no re-entry on the same ticket after you leave. If you plan to stay for many hours, organize meals, meetings and transportation before exiting the venue.

How to get there and what to check before leaving

The published address is the Events Arena at Ibirapuera Park, Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral, s/n, with access through Gate 10. The organizer recommends AACD–Servidor station on Metro Line 5–Lilac as a public-transport option. The park’s parking facility is operated independently from the event.

  • Confirm the time on your ticket and official channels on the same day, especially on Fridays.
  • Recheck the program for the attraction that motivated your purchase.
  • Bring photo ID and, when applicable, proof for half-price admission.
  • If you bought a solidarity ticket, bring the required food donation.
  • Consider a rain poncho: the FAQ says umbrellas are not allowed.
  • Remember that leaving the event ends that day’s admission.

Quick guide to choosing a date

Want more time and a family-oriented visit? Choose Saturday or Sunday, with a published 2 p.m. start. Want a specific tribute? Pick Sep. 20, Sep. 26, Sep. 27 or Oct. 3 according to the artist. Want closing day? Oct. 4 features Os Mutantes. Want to prioritize food and the festival atmosphere? The special Wednesdays and Thursdays provide a schedule less centered on major tribute acts. In every case, factor in ticket-tier changes and recheck times and the lineup close to your visit.
