A Fazenda 18: what Record has confirmed about 22 contestants, new challenges, the house and live shows

Record has confirmed a September 14 premiere, 22 contestants, two alternates, house changes, new challenges and more live shows — but not a complete official cast list yet.

As of September 1, 2026, Record has already confirmed major changes for A Fazenda 18, but it has not yet released a complete official list of cast names. The season premieres on September 14 at 10:30 p.m. on Record, with 22 contestants. The network has also announced new challenges, a renewed approach to living together, physical and functional changes to the farm house, and a plan to replace some recorded shows with more live broadcasts.

The most useful distinction before the premiere is between information that came directly from the network and names that are still circulating on prediction lists. Record and director Rodrigo Carelli have given clues about the cast profile, said all contracts are signed, and confirmed two stand-by alternates, but that does not make third-party cast lists official.

Confirmed by Record, rumor, or still missing details?

Cast namesNot officially released yetThe official site is still publishing clues rather than a complete list of names. Carelli said many online prediction lists have been highly inaccurate.

The 22 contestants are confirmed; their names are not

The confirmation of 22 contestants came from Adriane Galisteu in July and was repeated on the official site in August. On August 28, Rodrigo Carelli added two useful details: the cast contracts were already closed and two people would remain on stand-by to replace anyone who withdraws or faces a personal issue before entering the show.

This means the casting plan is internally settled, not that any outside list is official. In the same set of spoilers, Carelli said internet prediction lists had a very high error rate and that he had recently seen one with only about five correct names. He also mentioned single men and women, relatives or people connected to celebrities, and “representation,” without publicly confirming a full cast list or a specific identity from those clues.

The practical rule is straightforward: a person should only be treated as a confirmed contestant when Record clearly announces them. Clues released by the production are official as clues; an identity inferred from them remains an inference.

New challenges are confirmed, but their format is still open

During the Casa do Patrão finale, Galisteu said A Fazenda 18 would feature new challenges and a new coexistence dynamic. As of this update, Record had not published a complete explanation of the rules, names, frequency, or consequences of those new competitions.

That distinction matters: “there will be new challenges” is confirmed, but describing a specific mechanic before the network does so would go beyond the evidence. The best checkpoint is the official A Fazenda 18 website, especially in the days leading up to the premiere.

The house changes inside — and some areas gain a game function

The set changes are not merely decorative. Record confirmed a dressing room next to the bedroom, giving contestants a dedicated place to get ready. The voting deck was expanded to hold the contestants and residents of the barn area, will receive a new furniture layout, and can host part of the parties.

Carelli also highlighted an area that previously served as a VIP space for the Farmer and allies. According to the director, what happens there will be explored more in the program, suggesting that the area will have a more relevant role in decisions or game dynamics. Record has also shown the house renovation in progress, with updated decor and remodeled spaces.

More live television means less room for editing — but the schedule is still unknown

Record confirmed an important editorial change: fewer recorded programs and more live shows. For viewers, that should reduce the delay between events in the confinement and what is shown on television on some nights, while increasing the importance of decisions and reactions broadcast in real time.

What is still missing is the full weekly schedule: which days will be live, which segments or elimination-related events will change format, and how much of the show will remain prerecorded. Until Record releases that information, it is not safe to turn the promise of “more live shows” into a specific daily schedule.

How to filter cast rumors before September 14

  • Confirmed: information published by Record, the reality show's official website, or directly stated by Galisteu or Carelli in official material.
  • Official clue: a cast profile, quantity, contract status, or characteristic that does not reveal the person's identity. It is true information about the casting, but it does not confirm a name guessed by the public.
  • Rumor: a name cited by columnists, fan accounts, lists, or social media without a matching announcement from the network.
  • Still missing details: a change acknowledged by Record — such as new challenges or more live shows — whose full rules or schedule have not yet been published.

Record itself reinforced that caution when it reported Carelli's assessment that prediction lists were especially inaccurate this season. Until the premiere, the safest approach is to follow the official A Fazenda 18 page and update the status of each item as the network confirms it.
