On the Brazilian PlayStation Store, choosing between GTA VI Standard and GTA VI Ultimate currently comes down to a R$100 price difference: Standard is listed at R$449.90 and Ultimate at R$549.90. Both include the base game and, with a digital pre-order, the same pre-launch benefits. What Ultimate actually adds is the Ultimate Edition Upgrade, a set of vehicles, weapons, apparel and other extras woven into Jason and Lucia's story.
That makes the choice simpler than the bonus lists may suggest: players who mainly want the core experience can save money with Standard; those who already know they want Ultimate's extras pay R$100 more now. If you are unsure, Rockstar also says the upgrade can be purchased separately later, but its Brazilian price is not displayed on the PlayStation Store as of September 13, 2026.

What is the same in both editions
Standard is not a cut-down version of the base game. Both editions include Grand Theft Auto VI, which Rockstar currently describes as a single-player experience. On the PlayStation Store digital pre-order, both also receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, one month of GTA+ and pre-load access seven days before release.
The Vintage Vice City Pack is therefore not exclusive to Ultimate. According to Rockstar's official support page, it includes the '55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, outfits and hairstyles, plus an exclusive weapon pattern. Rockstar also states that digital pre-loading begins on November 12, 2026, ahead of the November 19, 2026 release.
The GTA+ month deserves attention because the offer is a subscription: PlayStation says that after the no-extra-cost period, it automatically renews at the then-current monthly price until canceled. Anyone who does not plan to keep the service should cancel before the next charge.
What Ultimate actually adds
Ultimate's paid differentiator is the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. Rockstar says these bonuses are threaded through Jason and Lucia's story and lists the following extras:
- '95 Grotti Cheetah;
- Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers;
- Personalized Weapon Variants;
- Vice City Styles;
- Jason's Safehouse Vehicles;
- Ganado Retro Build;
- Rideout Customs Mod Shop;
- Sara's Unisex Salon;
- Shitzu Squalo;
- Stock 305 Clothing Store;
- '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Garage;
- Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor;
- One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop;
- Goodtime Gear;
- PTT Youngin$ Compound;
- Classic Car Collection.
The list comes from Rockstar's official platforms and editions support page. The key buying point is that these items are the core of Ultimate's extra value; shared pre-order bonuses should not be counted as an Ultimate-exclusive advantage.
Standard makes more sense if you mainly want the base game
If your priority is to play the story, explore Leonida and decide later whether the extras matter, Standard is the more economical choice. It costs R$100 less and keeps the same digital pre-order benefits currently shown for Ultimate.
This profile includes players who usually ignore bonus vehicles, outfits, alternate weapons or special-edition locations. If those items do not change your decision to play GTA VI, paying more simply because the edition is called “Ultimate” adds cost without solving a real need.
Ultimate makes more sense if you already want the extras
Ultimate is easier to justify for players who like starting a game with premium content available and already know they will use extra vehicles, weapons, apparel and other unlocks. Because the bonuses are distributed across different chapters of the story, the value is less about “more base game” and more about having the campaign supplied with additional content from the outset.
At today's Brazilian prices, the practical question is: are those extras worth R$100 to you? If the answer is already yes, Ultimate removes the need to evaluate the upgrade later.
Should you buy Standard and upgrade later?
Rockstar says Standard owners will be able to buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately and that the upgrade can be purchased after the game's digital code has been redeemed. That lowers the risk for players who do not yet know whether they will value the extras.
There is one important uncertainty: on September 13, 2026, the Brazilian Ultimate Edition Upgrade page is marked “not available for purchase” and shows no price. So it is not possible to say that buying Standard now and upgrading later will cost exactly the same R$549.90 as Ultimate; the standalone upgrade price may change the math.
If you already know you want Ultimate, the R$100 difference between the editions is the known cost today. If you are undecided, Standard preserves the option to upgrade later, but without a public guarantee of the upgrade's final Brazilian price.
Pre-order bonuses: do not confuse them with exclusive content
On the Brazilian PlayStation Store, digital pre-orders of both editions include the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+. The store says the pre-order offer applies to purchases made before 11:59:59 p.m. on November 19, 2026, and the GTA+ month must be redeemed by March 31, 2027.
Rockstar also states that digital pre-loading starts on November 12. These benefits are useful for anyone buying before launch, but they should not be used to justify the Standard-to-Ultimate price gap because both editions receive them.
Which edition fits each type of player?
- “I just want GTA VI and the campaign”: Standard. You get the full base game and save R$100.
- “I want the cars, weapons, outfits and special-edition extras”: Ultimate. The additional package is already included.
- “I am not sure whether I will use the bonuses”: Standard is the lower-commitment option; Rockstar says a separate upgrade will be available later.
- “I am worried about missing the pre-order bonuses”: they are listed for both digital editions, so you do not need Ultimate for that reason alone.
- “I want the lowest possible total cost”: compare today's R$100 gap with the upgrade price once it is published; that standalone Brazilian price is not available yet.
Bottom line: the difference is extra content, not access to the game
At the current Brazilian PlayStation Store prices, Standard at R$449.90 is the straightforward choice for players who want GTA VI without paying upfront for extras. Ultimate at R$549.90 costs R$100 more and adds the Ultimate Edition Upgrade, with a collection of vehicles, weapons, apparel and other items distributed throughout the story.
The main caution is not to count the Vintage Vice City Pack, the GTA+ month or pre-loading as Ultimate-exclusive advantages: with a digital pre-order, they are also listed for Standard. If you are undecided, the later upgrade option is useful, but it is worth waiting for the Brazilian add-on price before assuming the final cost will equal today's gap between the two editions.
