From the Great Battle to the confrontation with the Master, follow Nick, Vida, Chip, Madison, and Xander and see how the Mystic Force story ends.

Cinco guerreiros místicos de vermelho, azul, amarelo, rosa e verde em posição de batalha diante de um portal mágico, com uma feiticeira ao fundo e um exército sombrio junto a uma fortaleza.

Power Rangers Mystic Force follows five young people in Briarwood who discover that their city borders a hidden magical world and that a war ended twenty years earlier is about to begin again. Across 32 episodes released in 2006, Nick Russell, Chip Thorn, Xander Bly, Madison Rocca, and Vida Rocca go from teenagers who barely understand magic to the main defenders of both the human and mystical worlds. The season builds that journey around two stories that ultimately converge: the fight against the Master of the Underworld and the discovery of Nick's true family.

The Great Battle and the secret buried in the past

Twenty years before the main story, the forces of darkness attempted to conquer the magical realm and the human world. Their army was led by Morticon and served an even greater entity, the Master. To stop the invasion, a group of sorcerers fought the monsters in what became known as the Great Battle. Leanbow, the most powerful warrior on the side of light, remained in the Underworld to make sure evil stayed trapped while the gates were sealed.

Victory came at a high cost. Udonna was separated from Leanbow and also lost their infant son, Bowen, during the conflict. Daggeron was assigned to protect the child but was attacked by Calindor, a former ally who had turned to dark magic. Both men were cursed and sealed in a cave, while Phineas managed to take Bowen to the human world. The child's whereabouts and Leanbow's fate become central mysteries of the season.

Udonna brings together the five Mystic Rangers

In the present, an earthquake cracks part of the seal that kept the evil creatures confined. Udonna realizes the war has returned and searches for the warriors destined to defend Briarwood. She finds Chip, Xander, Madison, and Vida, who work at the Rock Porium, as well as Nick, a newcomer to town. The first four accept the existence of magic more easily; Nick resists at first but eventually recognizes that he is part of the same destiny.

Udonna turns them into the Mystic Rangers and begins training them at Root Core. Each member develops magical powers, weapons, and giant forms tied to the team's identity. Their personalities also define their roles: Nick becomes the Red Ranger and a leader in training; Chip embraces the magical world with enthusiasm; Xander learns that confidence must be matched by responsibility; Madison is quieter and more empathetic; and Vida brings an impulsive, protective energy. Between battles, they continue working at the Rock Porium under Toby while initially keeping their Ranger identities secret.

Morticon and Koragg make the war personal

The first major enemy is Morticon, who wants to break the Underworld gates completely. At his side is Koragg, the Knight Wolf, a warrior far more disciplined than most of the villains around him. Koragg defeats Udonna early in the season and takes her Snow Staff, leaving her unable to function normally as the White Mystic Ranger. From that point on, he develops a direct rivalry with Nick and the team.

Koragg stands apart because he follows a code of honor and rejects some of the deception used by other servants of darkness. That behavior, combined with strange memories that begin to trouble him, hints that his connection to the old war is deeper than it seems. Meanwhile, Clare, Udonna's apprentice, temporarily takes up the Gatekeeper legacy to prevent the gates from being opened permanently. Morticon reaches the surface world but is defeated by the Rangers, ending the first phase of the threat.

Imperious, Jenji, and the arrival of Daggeron

After Morticon falls, Necrolai recovers Calindor's body. The Master restores him as Imperious, a darker, more strategic and ambitious sorcerer. During the same stretch of the story, the Rangers find Jenji's lamp and free the sharp-tongued feline genie. Soon afterward, Madison breaks the curse that trapped Daggeron in the form of a frog, allowing the ancient warrior to return in human form as the Solaris Knight.

Daggeron becomes a second mentor alongside Udonna and helps the five young Rangers improve both their magical ability and the discipline needed to control it. He also reveals that Imperious was once Calindor, the traitor from the Great Battle. Their rivalry directly connects the present conflict to choices made twenty years earlier.

Dark Wish proves that power without responsibility is not enough

One of the team's most important lessons comes when the Rangers begin relying on magic to solve nearly everything. Imperious exploits that weakness, captures Jenji, and uses a wish to create a reality in which good magic and the Power Rangers never existed. Briarwood falls under the rule of the forces of darkness, and the teens must seek the Tribunal of Magic without their usual powers.

The Tribunal initially refuses to undo the wish, forcing the group to show that they are willing to keep fighting even without the advantages they had been given. Reality is restored only after they prove that they understand that responsibility. The experience marks their transition from people who use magic into defenders who can still act when magic fails them.

Koragg is Leanbow, and Nick is Bowen

Imperious attempts to use the Rangers' Legend powers to bring the Master back. During the plan, Koragg's buried memories finally return: he is Leanbow, Udonna's husband, corrupted and transformed into the Knight Wolf after remaining in the Underworld. Once he recovers his true identity, Leanbow turns against the Master and saves Udonna and the Rangers.

The second revelation transforms Nick's story. The blanket he has carried since infancy confirms that he is Bowen, the missing son of Udonna and Leanbow. The young man who arrived in Briarwood with few clear roots discovers that he was born directly into the history of the Great Battle. Daggeron defeats Imperious in a final duel, while Leanbow temporarily stops the Master's return and appears to die in the process. Udonna, however, believes that he survived.

The Ten Terrors and Nick as the Light

With Imperious gone, the Ten Terrors emerge: Underworld warriors bound by the Rules of Darkness. The new threat searches for “the Light,” a person born of magical blood with extraordinary potential. Nick learns that he is the Light, reinforcing his central role in the coming confrontation while also placing more pressure on him.

As the Rangers face enemies such as Magma, Oculous, Serpentina, Megahorn, Hekatoid, Gekkor, Matoombo, Itassis, Black Lance, and Sculpin, Udonna leaves Root Core to search for Leanbow. Her faith proves justified: he survived and returns as the Wolf Warrior. The conflict also begins to divide the Master's own servants. Matoombo shows that he does not want to hurt innocent people, Itassis starts questioning the logic of darkness, and Necrolai, influenced by events involving Leelee, gradually acts less like an unquestioning servant of evil.

Hekatoid eventually captures Udonna, and the five Rangers temporarily lose their powers while trying to save her. At that point, allies such as Clare, Phineas, and Leelee prove that protecting Briarwood no longer depends only on the Rangers. Later, the Terrors finally create the conditions needed for the Master to return physically.

The final battle against the Master

In “Mystic Fate,” the Master attacks directly. He possesses Nick and temporarily turns him into a new Koragg, using him against the Mystic Realm. Leanbow reaches his son and helps him break free. Even so, the assault seems impossible to stop: the magical realm is devastated, the Rangers are overwhelmed, and the Master absorbs the magic used against him. Daggeron and Leanbow fall during the confrontation, Jenji is also destroyed while protecting the team, and Udonna is taken to the Underworld.

Even without their powers, the Rangers refuse to accept defeat. Nick fights back, and the group holds on until surviving allies can intervene. Necrolai saves Itassis, defeats Sculpin, and uses the positive energy she has absorbed to restore Daggeron and Leanbow; Jenji also returns. The former vampire is transformed into a human, completing her turn away from darkness.

The conclusion depends less on a new artifact than on the unity built throughout the season. The human citizens of Briarwood, led by Toby, and the magical beings rallied by Phineas choose to believe in the Rangers and restore magical energy to the team. Empowered by that collective force, the Mystic Rangers confront the Master again and destroy him, ending the war that began two decades earlier.

How Power Rangers Mystic Force ends

With the Master defeated, the divide between Briarwood's human community and the magical beings becomes much smaller. Matoombo is alive, Necrolai remains human, Daggeron and Leanbow have been restored, and Clare fully embraces her life as a sorceress at Root Core. Toby finally knows the truth about his employees and joins the celebration alongside the former combatants.

Nick decides to leave Briarwood with Udonna and Leanbow. Their plan is to travel together and also reconnect with the adoptive parents who raised him in the human world. Before leaving, he says goodbye to Madison and promises to return. Chip, Xander, Madison, and Vida remain connected to Briarwood, now in a world where humans and magical creatures can coexist with far less distance between them.

The team's story therefore closes both of its central conflicts: the Master is defeated, and Nick's family is reunited. The season begins with five young people called into a war they do not understand and ends with an entire community sharing responsibility for protecting magic and the world around it.
