Who can apply

The professional requirement is a duly registered undergraduate degree in Psychology from a higher education institution recognized by Brazil's Ministry of Education, plus active and regular registration with the relevant Regional Psychology Council, with authorization to practice in the corresponding jurisdiction.

For eventual hiring, the notice also lists general admission requirements such as being at least 18 years old, being in good standing with electoral obligations, military obligations when applicable, passing the pre-employment medical examination and presenting documents that prove the required qualifications. Employment is governed by Brazil's CLT labor regime.

How to apply by October 16

  1. Go to the official Cebraspe selection page during the application period.
  2. Sign in to the system and provide your CPF. The notice allows only one application request per CPF.
  3. Upload a recent individual photograph taken within the six months before publication of the notice, showing your uncovered head and shoulders.
  4. Upload a legible image of a valid identity document, front and back when applicable. Accepted formats are PDF, PNG, JPEG or JPG, with a maximum of 2 MB per image.
  5. If applicable, select the appropriate reserved-category option and request special accommodations, uploading the documents required by the notice.
  6. Finish the request and save the application receipt from the candidate tracking page. There is no application fee.

During the application period, candidates may change the special-accommodation option and the competition category. After the application window closes, submitted applications are automatically finalized and the information provided can no longer be changed.

Pay, benefits and employment terms

The stated pay is R$8,800.00 for a 40-hour workweek. The notice lists benefits including meal or food allowance, transportation allowance, health assistance and well-being support, among others.

Hired professionals will be assigned to AgSUS headquarters, with the work unit subject to change according to administrative needs. Employment follows the CLT regime and includes an initial 45-day probationary period that may be extended for another 45 days.

How the online objective exam works

The objective exam is worth 40 points and will be administered remotely on November 22, 2026, in the morning, using Cebraspe's electronic testing system. It contains 40 items:

AreaNumber of items
AgSUS regulations and institutional knowledge10
Brazilian Unified Health System, SUS10
Psychology-specific knowledge20

Items use a true-or-false format. Each answer matching the final official key is worth 1 point; an incorrect answer or an unanswered item is worth 0. The notice therefore does not provide for negative scoring for wrong answers. Candidates scoring below 20 points on the objective exam are eliminated.

The exam is divided into two 40-minute blocks with a 30-minute break. The platform uses one-way progression, meaning candidates cannot return to an item after moving forward.

Equipment and environment for the exam

  • Desktop or laptop computer running Windows 10 or later, or MacOS.
  • Google Chrome 80 or later, preferably updated, or Microsoft Edge.
  • Camera and microphone kept on throughout the exam.
  • Stable internet connection of at least 5 Mb/s.
  • Administrator permission on the computer in case the testing system needs software installation or configuration.
  • Only one display. An additional monitor, extended display or other simultaneous viewing device is prohibited.

The exam start time and additional instructions are scheduled to be released on November 13. The access-check link is expected to be sent to the candidate's email on November 16, and the official equipment testing window is scheduled for November 19 and 20.

What the exam covers

Basic knowledge includes SUS topics such as principles, guidelines, organization, health policies, user rights, social participation, Articles 196 to 200 of the Federal Constitution, Laws No. 8,080/1990 and No. 8,142/1990, the National Humanization Policy and Health Care Networks. The exam also covers AgSUS regulations and institutional information.

Psychology-specific content includes the Psychologist's Professional Code of Ethics, mental health and psychosocial care, qualified listening, welcoming practices, crisis intervention, public mental health policies, RAPS, mental health promotion and prevention, interdisciplinary health work, cultural diversity, interculturality and Indigenous well-being.

Credential evaluation is worth up to 8 points

Candidates who are not eliminated in the objective exam will be called for credential evaluation. This stage is for ranking purposes only and is capped at 8 points.

What to consider before applying

  • A reserve list is not an immediate opening. Passing the selection does not require AgSUS to hire; calls depend on vacancies and program needs, following the ranking order.
  • The selection is valid for one year from publication of the final result and may be extended once for the same period.
  • The final score combines the objective exam and credentials. The objective exam is worth up to 40 points and credentials up to 8.
  • Use the amended schedule. The original notice contained different dates that were replaced by the updated schedule published by AgSUS.

Checklist to avoid missing the deadline

  • Confirm your Psychology degree and regular CRP status.
  • Prepare a recent photo and a legible identity document in the accepted formats.
  • Submit the free application by October 16 at 6:00 p.m., Brasília time.
  • Save the application receipt and monitor the photo verification status.
  • Prepare your computer, camera, microphone and internet connection in advance.
  • Complete the equipment test on November 19 or 20.
  • Organize postgraduate and professional-experience documents that may count in the credential evaluation.
