São José da Boa Vista, in Paraná, opened Simplified Selection Process Notice No. 113/2026 to create a reserve list for Community Health Agent (ACS) and Endemic Disease Control Agent (ACE). Both positions require a high school education, pay R$ 3,249.22 per month and have a 40-hour workweek. The most important point for applicants is that the notice does not announce immediate openings: appointments depend on the needs of the Municipal Health Department.

What Notice No. 113/2026 offers

PositionOpportunity typeMain requirementsPay and scheduleKey difference
Community Health Agent (ACS)Reserve listCompleted high school, an initial training course of at least 40 hours, and residence in the community area where the applicant will work since the publication date of the noticeR$ 3,249.22 per month, 40 hours per weekResidence is specifically tied to the community where the agent will work
Endemic Disease Control Agent (ACE)Reserve listCompleted high school and an initial training course of at least 40 hoursR$ 3,249.22 per month, 40 hours per weekThe notice does not indicate the same residence requirement established for ACS

Although pay and weekly hours are the same, the requirements are not identical. For ACS, the residence condition is a specific eligibility filter and should be checked before applying. For ACE, the main requirements are the education level and the initial training required for the role.

Applications run from September 18 to October 12

Applications are free and remain open from September 18 to October 12, 2026. Documents may be sent to rh@saojosedaboavista.pr.gov.br or delivered in person to the City Hall Human Resources Division. For electronic submissions, published information about the notice states a deadline of 11:59 p.m. on October 12.

City Hall provides in-person service Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Rua Reinaldo Martins Gonçalves, 85, Centro, São José da Boa Vista, Paraná. The address and service hours can also be checked on the municipality's official website.

Documents cited in coverage of the notice include identification, CPF, proof of education and professional experience and, for ACS, proof of residence. Because forms, declarations and supporting documents may follow specific rules, applicants should check the notice and any updates on the official Competitions and Selection Processes page before submitting an application.

There will be no objective test

Ranking will be based on a single stage of credentials and professional experience assessment. Published scoring criteria include:

  • professional experience in the chosen position: 1 point per six-month period, up to 4 points;
  • higher education degree in Health: 6 points for the degree considered;
  • postgraduate qualification in Health: 3 points per diploma, up to 6 points;
  • higher education degree in another field: 3 points;
  • professional training course related to the chosen position: 1 point per certificate, up to 2 points;
  • training course in Health: 0.5 point per certificate, up to 1 point;
  • initial training course for the chosen position: 1.5 points.

Items connected to the selected position are especially relevant because experience and part of the training credentials must match the role for which the applicant is applying.

A reserve list is not an immediate vacancy

The selection process was opened to create a reserve list. Approval and ranking therefore do not mean automatic hiring. City Hall may call candidates as temporary needs arise in the Municipal Health Department, following the ranking order and the rules of the notice.

The planned employment relationship is temporary and governed by administrative law. Published information about the notice indicates contracts of up to two years, without extension, coverage under Brazil's General Social Security System and no FGTS deposits. The selection process is valid for two years and may be extended for an equal period.

Practical timeline

  • 09/18/2026: applications open;
  • 10/12/2026: applications close;
  • Selection: credentials and professional experience review, with no objective test;
  • Calls: according to City Hall needs, because the process creates a reserve list.

What to check before applying

Applicants for ACS should pay close attention to proof of residence in the community where they would work. For ACE, this specific condition is not listed among the published requirements. For both positions, applicants should gather proof of high school completion, initial training and any other credentials that may receive points.
