Public Service Exam No. 01/2026 for the Câmara Municipal da Estância Balneária de Itanhaém offers 27 openings across 11 official job titles, with applications through Fundação VUNESP from 10:00 a.m. on September 14 to 11:59 p.m. on October 19, 2026. In the notice version reviewed on September 15, all roles have a 40-hour workweek: starting pay is R$ 4,174.00 for the high-school group and R$ 7,097.00 for the university-level group.

There is an important distinction for applicants choosing a role. VUNESP presents five positions in the high-school group, but the requirements table in the official notice demands additional technical training for three of them. That means applicants should not compare only salary or number of openings: the exact qualification requirement and the job duties should be checked before paying the application fee.

“High school” does not mean the same requirement for all five roles

The 18 openings in the group whose tests are scheduled as high-school positions are distributed among Agente Administrativo, Assistente de Contabilidade, Encarregado de Estoque, Técnico de Informática and Técnico em Audiovisual. For Agente Administrativo and Encarregado de Estoque, the listed requirement is completed high school only. The other three require additional qualifications.

Assistente de Contabilidade requires an Accounting Technician course and registration with the Regional Accounting Council. Técnico de Informática requires a vocational technical high-school qualification in IT. Técnico em Audiovisual requires completed high school plus a technical course in the field. This distinction is decisive: a standard high-school diploma alone does not meet the requirements for those three roles.

How to compare the university-level roles

The six university-level positions total nine openings and all have the same starting pay of R$ 7,097.00. The main difference is the accepted academic background and the job duties. Administrador de Compras and Administrador de Patrimônio are listed in the notice with the broad requirement of a completed university degree. The other roles specify fields: Recursos Humanos accepts six degree areas listed in the notice; Analista Legislativo requires Law; Jornalista requires Social Communication with a Journalism qualification; and Tesoureiro accepts Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.

Because the salary is the same across the university-level roles, a useful comparison should go beyond pay. Annex I of the notice describes the duties of each position. Applicants should check whether the expected work matches their education and experience, especially where the diploma requirement is broad.

Salary, workweek and benefits: what actually differs

All 11 roles have a 40-hour workweek. Within each group, starting pay is uniform: R$ 4,174.00 for the five high-school/technical roles and R$ 7,097.00 for the six university-level roles. The notice also states that active employees are entitled each month to food and health allowances under the cited municipal legislation, but the job table does not use those benefits to distinguish compensation by role.

The notice states that the salary figures are based on May 2026. For practical comparison, the factors that most clearly separate the options are the number of openings, exact qualification requirements, job duties, and the academic-credentials stage for university-level roles.

Applications, fees and payment deadline

Applications are submitted exclusively online through the official Fundação VUNESP exam page from September 14 through October 19, 2026. The fee is R$ 80.00 for the five roles in the high-school group and R$ 115.00 for the six university-level roles.

The notice allows the payment slip to be generated through October 20 and requires payment by that same date. It also states that payment by PIX, transfer, ordinary bank deposit or other methods different from the specified payment slip is not accepted. Under the original schedule, fee-waiver requests for applicants who meet the municipal rules for blood or bone-marrow donation are limited to September 14 and 15, 2026, with supporting documents submitted within the stated deadline.

Can you apply for more than one role?

Yes, provided the applicant pays attention to the exam sessions. All objective tests are scheduled for December 6, 2026: the high-school group in the morning and the university-level group in the afternoon. If someone registers for more than one role whose tests are held in the same session, they may sit only one test and will be marked absent from the others.

Another rule makes careful selection especially important: once the application is completed, the chosen role cannot be changed. Comparing the qualification requirement, duties, number of openings and exam session before payment helps avoid applying for a role that does not match the applicant's credentials or conflicts with another choice.

How the tests work

For every role, the objective test has 40 questions: 16 General Knowledge questions and 24 Specific Knowledge questions, with a three-hour duration. The objective test is scored from 0 to 100, and applicants must score at least 50 points to qualify.

For the five roles in the high-school group, ranking is based on the objective test. For the six university-level roles, there is also an academic-credentials assessment, which is classificatory. The notice caps this stage at 3 points, considering a doctorate and master's degree in the field of the role under the documentation rules. Credentials are uploaded by candidates who are called for this stage.

Openings reserved for people with disabilities

Of the 27 openings, three are initially reserved for people with disabilities: two of the 12 Agente Administrativo openings and one of the four Analista Legislativo openings. The specific chapter of the notice should be checked for participation, documentation and disability-assessment rules.

What to check before completing the application

  • Exact qualification requirement: do not confuse the “high-school group” with a high-school-only requirement; three roles require additional technical training.
  • Job duties: read Annex I, especially for university-level roles with broader degree requirements.
  • Exam session: registering for two roles tested in the same session does not allow you to take both tests.
  • Fee and deadline: R$ 80.00 for the high-school group and R$ 115.00 for the university-level group, subject to the dates in the notice.
  • Official updates: monitor notices, summons and any amendments from VUNESP and the City Council's official channels.

Where to read the official notice

The main reference is the CMIH2601 page at Fundação VUNESP. The opening notice for Public Service Exam No. 01/2026 contains requirements, duties, syllabus, application rules, tests and the schedule. Because dates and procedures can be changed by later notices, the most recent official publication should always prevail.
