Transpetro 2026: applications through Sep. 21 and exams on Dec. 6 — what changed and what still awaits a corrigendum

Transpetro extended applications and postponed the exams for its land and maritime selection processes. See what is already official and what still needs confirmation in the corrigenda.

Candidates following Transpetro's 2026 public selection process can already update two key dates: the application deadline has been extended to September 21, and the exams have been rescheduled for December 6. The change was announced by the company itself for the ongoing land-based and maritime selection processes.

There is, however, an important difference between knowing that these two dates changed and assuming that the entire schedule has automatically been updated. In its official notice, Transpetro said the changes would be published in Brazil's Federal Official Gazette (DOU) and by Fundação Cesgranrio, with additional details available through the organizer's channels after publication. The two new dates can therefore guide candidates now, while all other milestones should be checked in the specific corrigendum for each notice.

What Transpetro has already confirmed

The company's notice confirms two schedule changes. First, the application period has been extended; under the previous schedule it would have ended on September 14. Second, the objective exam has been postponed from its previous November 29 date.

Exams11/29/202612/06/2026The new date was announced by Transpetro; venue, time and call notice still depend on the publications for the applicable selection notice.

The previous exam date appeared in Transpetro's August announcement of the four selection notices, which stated that the tests would be held on November 29. The new notice replaces that milestone with December 6.

What still depends on the corrigendum

As of the close of this article on September 10, 2026, Transpetro itself was still stating that the changes would be formally published in the DOU and through Cesgranrio. Candidates should therefore not assume that every later item in the schedule has changed.

  • Exact application closing time on September 21: the announcement gives the date, but candidates should verify the applicable time limit in the updated notice or on Cesgranrio's page.
  • Payment and application confirmation: any revised deadlines for issuing or paying a fee slip, processing the fee or regularizing the application must be read in the corrigendum rather than inferred from the extension.
  • Exam call and venues: the exam date is now December 6, but the address, time and entry rules should only be treated as final once published through official channels.
  • Later stages: quota-verification procedures, specific assessments, the physical fitness test for maritime processes and result dates may or may not move. Each notice must be checked separately.

Which notices are part of the 2026 selection process

The selection was launched through four notices covering maritime and land-based positions. Transpetro announced 281 immediate openings plus a reserve list.

  • Notice 1 — maritime workforce: petty officers and crew.
  • Notice 2 — maritime workforce: officers.
  • Notice 3 — land-based workforce: secondary/technical level.
  • Notice 4 — land-based workforce: higher education level.

Because the schedule-change announcement refers to the ongoing public selection processes for land and maritime workforces, candidates in any of the four notices should follow the update. Even so, the document that matters for each candidate is the corrigendum to their own notice.

If you have already applied: practical checklist

  1. Do not submit a second application on your own. Transpetro's notice does not say that completed applications have been canceled. Only redo or change anything if Cesgranrio explicitly instructs you to do so.
  2. Keep your records. Save your application number, payment receipt and any screens or files showing your application status.
  3. Check the candidate portal. Confirm that your application is shown as received or completed and look for any new organizer notice.
  4. Replace November 29 with December 6 in your calendar. The exam date changed, but do not make assumptions about the time or venue.
  5. Read the corrigendum when it is published. Compare the schedule sections and any rules covering applications, payment, call notices and later stages.

If you still plan to apply by September 21

The extension gives extra time to candidates who have not yet completed their application. Use it to review the correct selection notice before paying the fee.

  1. go to the official Fundação Cesgranrio competitions portal and find the Transpetro process;
  2. confirm whether you are applying for the land-based or maritime workforce and select the correct notice;
  3. review eligibility requirements, position or specialization, work location and exam city when applicable;
  4. fill in the information carefully and check the payment method;
  5. before completing the process, verify the September 21 closing time in the updated publication, because Transpetro's notice provides the date but does not replace the organizer's operational details.

Why you should not shift every date by seven days

Moving an exam does not require the organizer to push every following event by the same amount. Some stages may remain unchanged, others may receive new dates, and some depend on the logistics of each notice. The same applies to the application extension: payment processing and preliminary lists may need adjustments, but those changes must be written into the corrigendum.

The practical reading is: September 21 and December 6 are the new announced milestones; the rest of the schedule must be confirmed in the official documents.

Where to follow the official update

Quick questions

Is September 21 already the official new deadline?

Yes. Transpetro itself announced the extension through September 21. Before completing an application, however, candidates should check Cesgranrio for the closing time and any updated procedure contained in the corrigendum.

Does the December 6 exam date apply to both land and maritime processes?

The notice refers to the ongoing public selection processes for both land-based and maritime workforces and states that the exams have been rescheduled for December 6. Candidates should check their own notice's corrigendum for specific details.

Do candidates who have already applied need to submit a new application?

The notice does not instruct candidates with valid applications to apply again. The safest approach is to check the status in the candidate portal and only repeat the process if Cesgranrio issues an instruction to that effect.

Can I assume that every other stage has also been postponed?

No. Only dates expressly changed in a corrigendum or another official notice should be treated as modified. Continue monitoring official channels for the updated schedule.
