Fans following the World Athletics Ultimate Championship 2026 from Brazil do not need to convert the Budapest timetable event by event. From 11 to 13 September, Budapest will be five hours ahead of Brasília, so every time below has already been converted to Brasília time.
The inaugural edition features 28 finals across three sessions at the Gyula Zsivotzky National Athletics Centre. This schedule was checked on 5 September 2026 against the official World Athletics schedule and recent event updates. Because the organisers may adjust the timetable, it is worth checking the official page again close to each session.

How to read the order of the 28 finals
The list is sorted by the scheduled start time of each final. In field events such as jumps and throws, a final starts at the listed time and may continue while track races are taking place. Two finals can therefore overlap in a broadcast even when they appear consecutively in the table.
The full programme also includes semifinals between these finals. World Athletics says individual track events up to 800m and the hurdles begin at the semifinal stage, while the 1500m, 5000m and relays are straight finals. Field events are also straight finals. The format is explained in the organisation's Ultimate Championship guide.
What changed from earlier versions of the timetable
Preliminary material published before the detailed timetable was finalised allocated some finals differently. The current programme, for example, places the mixed 4x400m relay on Sunday and the flat 400m finals on Saturday, with the 400m hurdles finals on Sunday. Official updates from August and September 2026 confirm this newer configuration, including specific times for athletes and events. See the official 24 August update and the official Sunday programme published on 1 September.
When to start watching in Brazil
To avoid missing the opening finals, a practical rule is to be ready a few minutes before 14:00 on Friday and before 13:00 on both Saturday and Sunday. Semifinals and field events fill the gaps between finals, so watching the full session is the safest option for anyone who also wants to see qualification for later medal races.
Last schedule check: 5 September 2026. If there is any discrepancy, the World Athletics timetable takes precedence.
