Residents who need to register for or update Brazil's Cadastro Único in Recife have two upcoming Mobile Unit stops in September 2026. From September 15 to 18, the bus will serve Caxangá; from September 22 to 25, it will be in San Martin. At both locations, the schedule announced by Recife City Hall is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The schedule was published by the Secretariat for Social Assistance and the Fight Against Hunger (SAS) and may be subject to operational changes. It is therefore worth checking the official Recife City Hall notice and SAS channels before leaving home, especially if you need a specific service.

Dates, hours and addresses in Caxangá and San Martin

NeighborhoodDatesHoursLocation and addressWhat you can handle at the stop
CaxangáSeptember 15–18, 20269 a.m.–3 p.m.In front of Escola Municipal Nova Morada — Rua Deputado José Francisco de Melo Cavalcante, 409, Caxangá, RecifeCadÚnico registration and updates, guidance on social benefits and scheduling of home visits; the outreach action also integrates other social-assistance services.
San MartinSeptember 22–25, 20269 a.m.–3 p.m.Praça da Barriguda, in front of USF Mangueira I — Rua Jupiaçara, 35, San Martin, RecifeCadÚnico registration and updates, guidance on social benefits and scheduling of home visits; the outreach action also integrates other social-assistance services.

Under the routine announced by City Hall, the Mobile Unit operates Tuesday through Friday. Both stops above follow that pattern. The exception mentioned in the September calendar occurred the previous week because the federal system was scheduled to be unavailable on September 11.

Which services were announced for the Mobile Unit

In the schedule announcement, City Hall highlights the following services as directly offered by the bus:

  • registration in Cadastro Único;
  • updating registration data;
  • guidance on social benefits;
  • scheduling home visits when applicable.

The same notice says that the social-assistance outreach initiatives bring together, in an integrated way, services such as issuance of the Older Person's Card, enrollment in productive-inclusion courses, assistance through the Family Protection and Comprehensive Assistance Service (PAIF), and guidance or referrals to Social Assistance Reference Centers (CRAS).

This distinction matters: registration, updating, guidance and home-visit scheduling are explicitly described as Mobile Unit services, while the other items are presented as part of the integrated outreach initiatives. If your trip depends on one of those additional services, confirm availability on the day of the action.

What to bring for registration or an update

The official CadÚnico Recife portal lists the documents used for registration or updating. For the family representative and household members over 18, the municipal guidance includes:

  • an official photo ID;
  • CPF or voter registration card;
  • proof of residence in Recife;
  • work card.

For children and teenagers in the household, the portal requests a birth certificate or identity card, CPF and a school statement. Conecta Recife also states that presenting the original documents of household members during the interview is essential. Bringing documentation for everyone reduces the risk of leaving the registration pending because information is missing.

People who live alone can also update their registration at the unit

Recife City Hall states that, under MDS Ordinance No. 1,199 of July 15, 2026, one-person households may complete a registration update in person at outreach events, the Mobile Unit, the CadÚnico Central Office or CRAS units. The federal rule is available on the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance website.

This does not mean every registration situation follows the same procedure. If you received a specific summons, are undergoing a verification process, need a home visit or have questions about benefit status, bring any notice you received and ask the team for guidance during the appointment.

How to avoid a wasted trip

  • Check the neighborhood and address: in Caxangá, the unit will be in front of Escola Municipal Nova Morada; in San Martin, at Praça da Barriguda, in front of USF Mangueira I.
  • Plan to arrive within the announced hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Bring the household's documents: especially those required for registration or updating.
  • Reconfirm the schedule: City Hall recommends following SAS updates, including the official @sas.recife profile.
  • State your goal at check-in: new registration, update, benefit guidance, Older Person's Card, PAIF or another referral. This helps the team direct you to the correct service flow.

If you miss the bus stop

CadÚnico service in Recife is not limited to the traveling unit. The municipal portal says service is also available at the CadÚnico Central Office and CRAS units. Because addresses, hours and access rules may be updated, check the official CadÚnico Recife portal before choosing an alternative.

For people in Caxangá, this week's service window runs through September 18. In San Martin, the next window is scheduled for September 22–25. At both stops, the safest approach is to confirm the official schedule, organize your documents and arrive knowing which service you need to request.
