Qualifica Recife: how to choose among 581 places and register through GO Recife

A guide to filtering Qualifica Recife's free courses by start date, location and professional goal, then completing registration through GO Recife.

Qualifica Recife announced 581 free places in more than 30 vocational training options, with morning, afternoon and evening classes scheduled to start between September 14 and 28, 2026. For anyone checking the offer on September 16, the first decision should not be “which course sounds interesting?” but “which class is still accepting registrations, starts on a date that works for me and is held at a unit I can realistically attend?”. Availability can change as places are filled and classes begin, so the final check should be made on GO Recife.

The City of Recife announcement says the opportunities cover health, industry, clothing, food, technology, languages and beauty, with some courses accepting participants from age 14. Examples named in the official release include sewing and dressmaking, confectionery, hairdressing, administrative assistant, community health agent, practical cooking, residential electrician, metalwork, basic Spanish, basic English, electric welding, Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) and photovoltaic energy. Minimum age, schooling and other requirements vary by course and must be checked on the class page.

What to know before choosing one of the 581 places

  • Registration is free and is completed through GO Recife, available on the web and through Conecta Recife.
  • Classes start on different dates, between September 14 and 28, depending on the course.
  • There are three time slots: morning, afternoon and evening.
  • The minimum age is not the same for every course; some accept students from age 14.
  • The official September 3 release contains a counting inconsistency: the text says eight schools, but it names nine units. To avoid confusion, the table below reproduces the nine units listed in the release itself.

This counting discrepancy does not change the registration process, but it is a good reason to verify the school shown on the course card before traveling. The opening announcement is available on the official City of Recife page.

Filter 1: “starts first” — use the date to eliminate incompatible options

Because the start window runs from September 14 to 28 and this guide is being prepared on September 16, 2026, some classes scheduled for September 14 may already have begun. That alone does not prove that every such class is closed: each course's status must be checked on GO Recife. The safest filter is to open the course page and confirm three points before moving forward: start date, time slot and registration status.

If your priority is to begin as soon as possible, choose among classes that are still open and have the nearest start date that fits your routine. If your priority is arranging transportation, work or family care, a class starting later may be the better option even if it is not the first on the calendar.

Filter 2: “near me” — choose the unit that fits your commute

The announcement of 581 places spreads courses across different areas of Recife. The official list names nine units. The addresses below were checked against institutional pages from the Secretariat of Labor and Professional Qualification and the Vocational Schools; because each unit's course offer changes by class, use location only as an initial filter and confirm the course on GO Recife.

The institutional list of schools and contacts is available on the Vocational Schools page and the Secretariat of Labor and Professional Qualification page.

Filter 3: “professional goal” — choose based on how you plan to use the course

With more than 30 options, comparing every course without a criterion quickly becomes inefficient. A simpler approach is to start with your goal: formal employment, providing services independently, generating income, changing fields or building a complementary skill. The table organizes only examples confirmed in the official announcement; it does not replace the updated GO Recife list.

FoodConfectionery, practical cookingEmployment in food services or self-employment.Course hours, materials and practical-class routine.

HealthCommunity health agentIntroductory knowledge or training related to health services.Specific requirements and the professional limits of the certificate.

Industry and installationsResidential electrician, metalwork, electric welding, photovoltaic energyTechnical work, maintenance and specialized services.Minimum age, schooling, safety rules and class requirements.
Languages and communicationBasic English, basic Spanish, LibrasStrengthening a résumé and broadening communication in work and customer service.Entry level and whether the course is truly beginner-level or requires prior knowledge.
TechnologyThe area is listed in the announcement, but specific examples vary on the platformDigital skills and training connected to the technology job market.Exact course name, format, level and requirements on GO Recife.

This filter does not claim that one area offers more jobs than another. Its purpose is to reduce the list to choices that match your plan. From there, the decision should return to practical criteria: a class that is still open, start date, time slot, unit and requirements.

How to register for Qualifica Recife through GO Recife

Conecta Recife's Service Charter describes the official flow for City-run courses. The process is online and can be started on the GO Recife courses page or through the professional qualification course registration service.

  1. Choose the course you want and click “Quero me inscrever” (“I want to register”).
  2. On the next step, click “Inscreva-se já!” (“Register now”).
  3. Tap the “+” sign and then “Continuar” (“Continue”).
  4. Select “Continuar sem conta” (“Continue without an account”), as indicated in the current service instructions.
  5. Fill in the requested information.
  6. Click “Finalizar” (“Finish”).
  7. The Secretariat of Labor and Professional Qualification may contact you by phone, email or WhatsApp with guidance on the next steps.

What information to have ready before opening the registration form

For City-run courses, the Service Charter says the registration may request full name, CPF or RG identification number, email, address, mobile phone number and date of birth. Having this information ready reduces the chance of abandoning the process midway.

The institutional Vocational Schools page also says that, after registration, the applicant receives instructions on completing and validating enrollment, which may take place in person at the school offering the course. In previous offers under the same program, the City has required photo identification, proof of residence and, depending on the course, proof of schooling. Because requirements can vary, treat the message received after registration and the course page as the final reference for documents.

A quick decision route without opening every option

  1. Open GO Recife and discard classes that have already started or do not fit your schedule.
  2. Shortlist two or three units that are realistic for your commute.
  3. Choose an area tied to your immediate professional goal.
  4. Compare the requirements of the remaining classes, especially age, schooling, time slot and start date.
  5. Register through the platform and monitor your phone, email and WhatsApp so you do not miss enrollment instructions.

The key is not to choose only by the course name or by the headline figure of 581 places. The most practical option is the class that combines an available place, a workable start date, a sustainable commute and usefulness for your goal. Since the offer is already underway in September 2026, the list published on September 3 works as a map of the campaign; actual availability must be confirmed on GO Recife at the time of registration.
