Free courses in Recife: 16 upcoming classes at Centros Arrecifes through Oct. 2

As of September 17, 2026, the official Centros Arrecifes da Cidadania schedule still listed 16 classes with future start dates in Afogados and Imbiribeira, running between September 21 and October 2. Options include digital inclusion, marketing, artificial intelligence, basic computer skills, beauty and crafts. Registration is free, can be completed online or in person, and is subject to seat availability.

Which courses have not started yet

To make the choice easier, the table below includes only classes that start after September 17. Official class times are morning, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., and afternoon, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

How to register

Online registration is available through the official Centro Arrecifes da Cidadania portal. The page instructs applicants to choose a location, complete the registration form, proceed to course selection and submit the application. The portal states that the training programs include certification.

Registration can also be completed in person at the Centros Arrecifes. In an update published on September 16, the City of Recife said the centers are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Because seats are subject to availability, it is useful to check the desired course on the portal before traveling to the location.

Where the two centers are located

• Afogados: Rua Professor Augusto Wanderley Filho, 63, Afogados, Recife.
• Imbiribeira, Comunidade do Bem: Estrada Velha do Frigorífico, 101, Imbiribeira, Recife, near USF+ Comunidade do Bem.

The most recent contact channels published by the City of Recife for Centros Arrecifes information are WhatsApp +55 81 9 9488-6552 and phone +55 81 3355-2276.

Which course best matches each goal

People seeking more independence with internet and computer use can prioritize Digital Skills 2 or Basic Computer Skills. For content creation, promotion or sales, the most directly related options are Digital Art Creation, Digital Marketing and Social Media Sales. Artificial Intelligence is aimed at participants who want practical exposure to AI tools.

For income generation through services, the schedule includes Advanced Eyebrow Design and two makeup courses. For manual production and possible sales, the Imbiribeira unit offers Felt Crafts and Bows and Headbands Crafts.

Check requirements before submitting the form

In its specific announcement for the makeup courses, the City of Recife said seats are intended for Recife residents aged 16 or older, with priority for families registered in CadÚnico or in vulnerable situations. That announcement applies to the makeup training programs, so the same criteria should not automatically be extended to every other course. For each class, review the fields and requirements shown in the official form before submitting your registration.

What to check before choosing a class

• Whether the September 21 to 25 or September 28 to October 2 period fits your schedule.
• Whether the morning or afternoon session is compatible with your routine.
• Which location is more convenient for your commute.
• Whether the class still appears as available on the portal when you register.
• Whether the selected course has a specific requirement in its form.

Official sources and update date

This guide was updated on September 17, 2026, based on the official Centros Arrecifes course and registration page, the schedule published by the City of Recife on September 2, the specific guidance for makeup courses published on September 11 and the institutional update published on September 16. Because seats can fill, the availability displayed on the portal at the time of registration should take precedence.
