Residents of the city of São Paulo can book free financial guidance sessions at four TEIA locations between September 25 and October 2, 2026. The initiative is part of Academia de Finanças, a São Paulo City Hall program carried out in partnership with Planejar, the Brazilian Financial Planning Association.

The sessions are individual and led by financial planners holding the CFP certification. According to City Hall, the service can help participants organize income and expenses, set priorities, consider strategies to reduce debt and review credit options with more suitable rates and terms. The service is intended for both personal finances and small businesses.

City Hall states that registration remains open until one day before each activity. This means participants planning to attend Interlagos or São Miguel Paulista must register by September 24; for Cachoeirinha, by September 25; and for Pinheiros, by October 1.

How to register

  1. Go to the ADE SAMPA portal.
  2. Sign in with your account. The page also provides an option to create an account for users who do not yet have access.
  3. After signing in, register for the Academia de Finanças activity corresponding to the location and date you want.
  4. Complete the booking by the day before the selected session.

The official notice does not state how many appointments are available at each location. Because the service is individual, it is advisable to complete registration within the deadline and review the selected activity details on the ADE SAMPA portal.

Who can use the service

According to City Hall, the initiative serves São Paulo residents who want to organize their personal finances as well as small businesses that need guidance to better structure their financial situation. The service is not presented as a group course: the announced format is an individual meeting with a certified planner.

Topics that may be addressed include:

  • tracking income and expenses with simple spreadsheets;
  • organizing bills and setting priorities;
  • strategies for reducing debt;
  • reviewing which financial commitments should be prioritized;
  • identifying credit options with rates and terms that may be more suitable for the participant's needs.

What to expect from the individual consultation

The official description indicates that the planner helps participants build a picture of their financial situation and organize possible next steps. The focus is guidance and planning. Based on the published scope, this is not an announcement of loan issuance, automatic debt renegotiation or guaranteed credit approval.

The sessions are carried out with CFP-certified professionals. Planejar, City Hall's partner in the program, is the organization responsible in Brazil for the CFP certification, an international credential for financial planning professionals.

How to prepare for the session

The City Hall notice reviewed for this article does not list mandatory documents for the consultation. As practical preparation, it may be useful to bring basic information that helps explain your situation, such as main monthly expenses, debts, outstanding installments, sources of income and financial goals. Small businesses may also benefit from having simple figures on revenue, costs and financial commitments.

These items are organizational suggestions, not requirements stated in the official announcement.
