Expert Berlian, Diamond and Dimond supplements: why Anvisa ordered the recall

Anvisa ordered the recall and prohibition of all lots of Expert Berlian, including the Expert Diamond and Expert Dimond variants. Learn how to identify an affected product, check its regulatory status and act safely.

Anvisa ordered the recall of the Expert Berlian food supplement capsules, including variants marketed as Expert Diamond and Expert Dimond. The measure appears in Resolution RE No. 3,541 of September 8, 2026, published on September 9. The order covers all lots of Expert Berlian and prohibits manufacturing, sale, distribution, advertising and use, in addition to requiring a recall.

For consumers, the practical consequence is straightforward: if the product you have matches Expert Berlian or the Expert Diamond/Expert Dimond variants covered by the resolution, there is no “cleared” lot to look for. The order applies to all lots. Identification should take into account the name shown on the label or sales listing and the responsible company, Diamond Expert Brasil Importacao e Exportacao Ltda., CNPJ 45.448.911/0001-14.

Why did Anvisa order the recall?

The resolution points to three groups of problems. The first is the absence of stability studies required to support that the product maintains its safety, composition and quality characteristics throughout its shelf life. In practical terms, printing an expiration date on the label is not enough: appropriate technical evidence is needed to support the product's characteristics over that period.

The second problem is regulatory: the supplement's notification with Anvisa had been cancelled. Two official sources give different dates. The Anvisa news release says the cancellation occurred on January 25, 2025, while RE 3,541/2026 states January 12, 2025. That discrepancy does not change the point that matters to consumers: the notification had been cancelled and the product was still being sold. The safer reference for a use decision is the current regulatory status and recall resolution, not the exact day of the cancellation.

The third issue involves advertising. Anvisa recorded promotion of therapeutic properties related, among other examples, to cartilage regeneration and maintenance, anti-inflammatory action, prevention of joint pain and treatment of conditions such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, low-back pain and sciatica. Food supplements cannot be advertised as products that prevent, treat or cure diseases; they are not medicines.

Spelling matters because the resolution itself cites two very similar variants: “Diamond” and “Dimond.” A package, listing or purchase record using either spelling should not be excluded from the check simply because it does not display “Berlian” in exactly the same way on the front.

How to check whether the supplement you bought is affected

  1. Read the full name on the label. Look for Expert Berlian, Expert Diamond or Expert Dimond. Also compare photos from the listing, order receipt and marketplace description if the physical presentation is unclear.
  2. Check the responsible company. Look on the label for Diamond Expert Brasil Importacao e Exportacao Ltda. and, when shown, CNPJ 45.448.911/0001-14.
  3. Do not try to exclude your unit by lot number. RE 3,541/2026 uses “ALL” for the lot field. A lot number different from one seen in photos or other consumers' reports does not make the unit acceptable for use.
  4. Check Anvisa's database. In the Food and Supplement Consultation System, advanced search can be used to verify regulatory data. Anvisa explains that “active” means the product is regularized and “inactive” means it is not. You can also consult the irregular products area.
  5. Give priority to the current enforcement order. In this specific case, RE 3,541/2026 explicitly prohibits use and orders a recall. An active online listing does not cancel or override that measure.

What to do if you have a unit at home

Do not use the supplement. The resolution expressly prohibits use. Keep the package, lot number, purchase receipt and, for an online purchase, records of the listing and seller. These details can help identify the product and support a return request or complaint.

Contact the seller and, when possible, the responsible company for instructions on recall and return. If the product is still being offered, Anvisa provides a channel to report irregular supplements through Fala.BR and recommends sending information such as the product name, place of purchase, label photos and advertising records.

If you consumed the product and developed a reaction or health problem, seek health care, particularly if symptoms are significant or persistent. Anvisa also accepts reports of adverse events and technical complaints related to industrialized foods, the regulatory category that includes food supplements.

Does the recall mean every unit was contaminated?

No. The measure should not be turned into a conclusion Anvisa did not publish. RE 3,541/2026 does not say that every unit was tested and found contaminated, nor does it attribute a specific injury to all consumers. The stated grounds are regulatory and preventive: absence of stability studies, a cancelled notification and advertising with therapeutic claims.

At the same time, this is not a minor paperwork issue that makes continued use acceptable. Without the stability studies cited by the Agency, maintenance of safety, composition and quality through the declared expiration date has not been demonstrated under the applicable requirements. Together with the notification status and formal prohibition of use, that is sufficient reason to follow the recall.

Does the warning apply to any supplement named “Diamond”?

Not automatically. The order identifies a particular product, its variants and a specific company. A similar name on a product from another manufacturer should not be treated as affected solely because the wording resembles “Diamond.” Check the label, responsible company, CNPJ and Anvisa status.

It is also important not to merge this case with other supplements mentioned in the same September 9 news release. Anvisa separately published RE 3,540/2026 for Nutra Senior and related brands. Two measures announced together are still separate regulatory cases.

How to interpret regulatory searches from now on

Since September 2024, Brazil's food regularization rules have required food supplements to be notified to Anvisa. The Agency explains that an active result in its consultation system indicates a regularized product, while an inactive result means the product is not regularized. For products subject to a specific enforcement action, it is also prudent to check the irregular-products database and published resolutions.

For Expert Berlian and the Expert Diamond and Expert Dimond variants covered by RE 3,541/2026, the practical rule remains: all lots are subject to recall and the product must not be used. If there is uncertainty about a specific package, keep the label information and compare the company identification before making a decision.
