Curitiba's 2nd Credit Access Cycle will take place from September 28 to October 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Paraná Commercial Association (ACP) in downtown Curitiba. Participation is free, and the event brings together credit guidance, training sessions, conversations with development finance institutions and services for small businesses.

For entrepreneurs considering financing, the main benefit is the opportunity to compare alternatives and ask questions before signing a contract. The program is aimed at Curitiba entrepreneurs and is part of Entrepreneur Week.

According to the City of Curitiba, credit operators will provide assistance throughout the week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the ground floor of the ACP. The official opening on September 28 at 10 a.m. is a separate activity on the 9th floor.

How to register for free

The official announcement provides free registration for the event. The registration form can be accessed through the City of Curitiba page about the 2nd Credit Access Cycle. Because forms and availability for specific activities may be updated, check the official page before traveling to the venue.

The city expects more than 500 entrepreneurs to attend over the five days.

What services will be available

Entrepreneurs will be able to speak in person with credit operators from the City of Curitiba, Fomento Paraná and the ACP. The goal is to present alternatives and allow participants to clarify terms before deciding whether a financing option fits their business.

The program also includes conversations with development and funding institutions, including Fomento Paraná, BRDE and Finep. There will also be talks and content on entrepreneurial behavior, sales, credit, financial management, digital marketing, entrepreneurship and e-commerce.

Mobile Entrepreneur Space

During the week, the Mobile Entrepreneur Space will be located in front of the Federal University of Paraná at Praça Santos Andrade. Services include guidance on opening and formalizing a MEI business, business regularization, checking outstanding issues, issuing documents and payment slips, the annual MEI declaration and debt installment plans, among other services.

How to compare credit options

The event brings entrepreneurs into contact with different institutions, but not every offer will suit every business. Before taking out financing, compare at least the total cost, term, grace period, required guarantees and permitted use of the funds.

  • Cost: do not consider only the advertised interest rate. Ask about the effective cost of the transaction, fees and other applicable charges.
  • Term: a smaller installment may come with a longer repayment period and a higher accumulated cost.
  • Grace period: confirm when repayment starts and whether charges accrue during that period.
  • Guarantees and requirements: ask which documents, guarantees, business history or training certificates are required.
  • Purpose: check whether the credit line can be used for working capital, inventory, equipment, renovations or another planned need.

Municipal microcredit is one available reference

In recent municipal announcements, Curitiba reports a microcredit line of up to R$20,000 for informal entrepreneurs, MEIs and microenterprises with annual revenue of up to R$360,000. Limits vary according to the stage of the business and credit analysis. The city also reports repayment periods of up to 36 months and differentiated conditions under specific programs.

These conditions are useful as a comparison reference, but participants should confirm during the event which rules are currently valid for their profile. Approval, limits and costs depend on the credit line and the applicable analysis.

What to bring to make the most of the assistance

The official event announcement does not publish a single mandatory document list for every service. To make the conversation more productive, entrepreneurs can bring basic business information, an estimate of the amount they intend to finance, the intended use of the funds and information about revenue and expenses. The institution consulted can then explain which documents are actually required for an application.
