Santa Luzia/MG Municipal Education Department’s Emergency Simplified Selection Process (PSS) No. 02/2026 accepts free applications from 10:00 a.m. on September 15 until 11:59 p.m. on September 20, 2026, Brasília time. Applications are online only, through the form identified in the notice. The main way to avoid problems is to treat the form as a declaration that will later have to be proven: the information must be accurate, the application must be saved before the deadline, and any correction requires completing the procedure again.
Deadline and where to apply
The notice requires online registration and charges no application fee. The official access point is the Notice No. 02/2026 page in Santa Luzia’s Electronic Official Gazette, and the application form identified in the notice is this registration link.
| Stage | Date/time | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Applications open | September 15, 2026, 10:00 a.m. | Complete the online form. |
| Applications close | September 20, 2026, 11:59 p.m. | Make sure the final application has been saved. |
| Preliminary ranking | September 22, 2026 | Check the City website, Official Gazette and Education Department. |
| Final ranking and approval | September 28, 2026 | Check the official publication. |
The notice also states that computer, connectivity or traffic problems do not transfer responsibility to the municipality. Submitting in the final minutes therefore creates an avoidable risk.
Which positions are covered by the PSS
The process creates an emergency reserve list for five positions: Support Professional, PEB III – Science, PEB III – Geography, PEB III – English Language and PEB III – Portuguese Language. A reserve list does not mean a fixed number of openings exists and does not guarantee hiring; calls depend on temporary staffing needs and ranking order.
General requirements candidates should check
General conditions include being at least 18 years old at the time of hiring, being in good standing with the electoral authorities and, when applicable, military service, being fit to perform the job, having no incompatibility that prevents a new public-sector contract, and having an email address for registration and confirmation. If called, the candidate must also prove the minimum qualification for the position and the other information declared in the application.
The notice allows only one application per position. Professional experience should be declared only when the duties are compatible with the position sought; internships do not count, overlapping service periods cannot be treated as consecutive time, and time already used for retirement purposes should not be reported.
Minimum qualification: check Annex I before submitting
The official notice PDF contains the positions and minimum qualifications in Annex I. For Support Professional, the table requires the applicant to be at least in the fifth semester of a full Pedagogy teaching degree at an institution recognized by Brazil’s Ministry of Education (MEC). For Science, Geography and English Language, the annex lists alternatives based on a teaching degree or compatible pedagogical training in the subject area.
In the official version reviewed, the PEB III – Portuguese Language row contains a description of teaching duties in the area where the other positions present minimum-qualification wording. To avoid turning a possible drafting inconsistency into an invented requirement, applicants for Portuguese Language should check the PDF itself and, if their qualification status remains unclear, use the Education Department’s official channel before declaring eligibility.
Checklist to avoid invalidating your application
- Read the notice and Annex I before opening the form. The required academic background depends on the position.
- Use an active email address and type it correctly. A copy of the form and the registration receipt are sent to that address.
- Enter personal data and experience accurately. False, inaccurate or non-compliant information can lead to rejection or disqualification.
- If applying under the disability quota, mark the specific field. Without that indication, the application is processed under general competition.
- Finish and save the application. If it is not saved within the deadline, the notice treats the candidate as not registered.
- Check inbox, spam and trash folders. The application copy and receipt should arrive by email.
- If you need a correction, redo the process before the deadline. The new application invalidates the previous one, and every form step must be completed again before saving.
- Keep proof of what you declared. Degrees, experience, qualifications and other declared conditions will have to be documented if you are called.
Documents are not submitted with the application, but they will be required later
The notice states that supporting documents are not required at the application stage. Verification takes place when candidates are called for hiring. At that point, the candidate must present originals and simple copies of identification and electoral documents, proof of residence, education or professional qualification, declared academic titles, proof of declared service time, and the other documents listed in item 6.7. Candidates applying under the disability quota must also document the declared condition under the notice’s rules.
Failure to prove a requirement or information declared in the form may block hiring and cause disqualification. Before entering a degree, period of experience or qualification, candidates should make sure they have acceptable documentation to support it later.
How ranking works and what happens after September 20
Ranking is based on the information declared in the application and uses academic titles and experience according to the notice’s scoring tables. The preliminary result is scheduled for September 22, 2026. Appeals are allowed against application rejection and the preliminary ranking, within three business days beginning on the first day after publication of the relevant list. The final ranking and official approval are scheduled for September 28.
Even after being ranked, candidates must follow official publications. Hiring calls will be published by the City, the Electronic Official Gazette and at the Municipal Education Department headquarters. Missing the date and time in a call, failing to prove the requirements or refusing the position offered upon call can remove a candidate from the process.
What to verify before clicking “submit”
A practical final check is to confirm the position, the corresponding qualification in Annex I, the email address, disability-quota status when applicable, the experience periods and that the form was actually completed and saved. Then verify that the form copy and receipt arrived. Because this is an emergency process with short deadlines, the decisive source should always be the notice and official publications, not third-party messages or social media.
