Salvador beyond the headline
Salvador beyond the headline
Salvador in Context follows the events that affect the daily lives of people who live, work, study, or move around Bahia's capital.
We publish news, guides, explainers, and ongoing coverage about neighborhoods, public services, transportation, traffic, public safety, decisions by City Hall and the City Council, culture, events, public works, and major urban debates.
Salvador also depends on decisions and services managed by the Government of Bahia. For this reason, the blog follows state-level developments when they directly affect the capital or are relevant enough to help our audience understand what is happening in the state.
Salvador remains the priority.
Our goal is to go beyond the headline. Whenever possible, we seek to explain what changed, when it takes effect, who is affected, what residents need to do, which agency is responsible, and where the information can be confirmed.
We distinguish announcements, confirmed facts, documents, statements, allegations, and interpretations. Sensitive content should be reviewed, and relevant corrections should be recorded transparently.
Salvador in Context does not aim to publish everything that happens. The priority is to publish what helps readers understand, decide, follow, or solve something related to the city.
