The list published on September 1 does not put every project in the same situation. For MOSTRATEC-LIBERATO 2026, the next step depends on three different paths: a project selected through the direct selection process, a waitlisted project, or a project accredited by an affiliated fair. What they share is a short September-October timeline and, under the rules updated on September 4, the stated deadlines close at 6:59 p.m. Brasília time.
Quick answer: what changes according to your status
| Status | What it means now | Main next action |
|---|---|---|
| Selected through the selection process | Your project appeared in the first call published on September 1. | Review the registration and SRC requirements, check the consolidated finalist list on October 6, send the research report when applicable by October 12, and complete the payment step by October 19. |
| Waitlisted | Your place is not yet confirmed. The rules state that additional calls may occur at any time. | Monitor the finalist page, the registered email address and the Mostratec Digital portal; if called, complete outstanding requirements and current deadlines immediately. |
| Accredited by an affiliated fair | The project does not go through a new competitive selection by Mostratec; if the criteria and deadlines are met, the finalist place is guaranteed. | Complete registration in Mostratec Digital within the window that matches the fair date. For fairs held from August 1 to September 28, 2026, the deadline is September 30. |
The four dates that really matter
- September 30: last day to complete registration for projects accredited by affiliated fairs held from August 1 to September 28, 2026. The rules state that deadlines close at 6:59 p.m. Brasília time. Fairs held before August had earlier deadlines, so September 30 should not be treated as a general extension.
- October 6: publication of the titles of all finalist projects, bringing together projects approved through the selection process and those accredited by affiliated fairs that met the requirements.
- October 12: new deadline to send the research report for High School/Technical Education projects. The current schedule asks for a PDF file sent to relatorio.mostratec@liberato.com.br, identifying the project ID number.
- October 19: deadline for the participation-fee payment step through Mercado Pago, when applicable. After that date, the link to generate a bank slip will no longer be available. Slips issued on October 19 are due on October 21.
If the project was selected on September 1
The September 1 publication is the first call in the selection process. Appearing on that list is the signal to treat the registration as active, but participation still depends on correctly meeting the event requirements: a complete form, required files, research rules and, when an amount is due, the payment step.
The best route is to log in to Mostratec Digital using the project registration, review everything submitted and check whether the Scientific Review Committee (SRC) requested adjustments or supplementary documents. The official registration page says that forms and files must be uploaded in the registration form itself and that the SRC may request corrections or additional material.
Then use October 6 as the public confirmation date: the organizers state that all finalist projects will be published on that date on the finalist projects page. For High School/Technical Education projects, do not postpone the report until after that check: the new deadline is October 12.
If the project is waitlisted
Being waitlisted does not mean the project is eliminated, but it is not the same as having a confirmed place. The updated rules record the first call on September 1 and add that additional calls may occur at any time. The document does not reserve one specific date for calling waitlisted projects.
In practice, that requires monitoring. Check the official finalist page, the email address used for registration and Mostratec Digital. If the project is called, the window for handling documents, the report or payment may be short because the general deadlines still apply.
It is also important not to make a claim the official source does not support. A place on the waitlist does not tell you when a vacancy will open, how many waitlisted projects will be called or how far a new call will go. The organizers tie additional calls to the availability of places.
If the project came through an affiliated fair
The logic is different. The 2026 rules state that projects accredited by affiliated fairs do not go through selection by MOSTRATEC-LIBERATO. If they meet the participation criteria and complete registration within the relevant deadline, they have a guaranteed finalist place.
For fairs held between August 1 and September 28, 2026, registration must be completed by September 30. This deadline covers the complete registration, not just a pre-registration. The official schedule ties the deadline to completing and submitting the registration with the required documentation.
Projects coming from an affiliated fair should select that participation route in Mostratec Digital and correctly choose the originating fair. The procedures page also stresses that pre-registration must be made in the name of one of the students, not the adviser. If the student does not have a CPF, the official guidance is to use the CPF of a legal guardian.
Document checklist before the deadlines
- Confirm that pre-registration and registration are linked to the correct student.
- Check the completed and signed required forms.
- Upload supplementary forms when required by the nature of the research.
- Provide the public link to the PDF banner.
- Provide the YouTube link to the presentation video.
- Respond to any request from the Scientific Review Committee (SRC).
- For High School/Technical Education, prepare the research report as a PDF and send it by October 12, identifying the project ID.
- Check the financial step in the dashboard and, when payment is due, complete it by October 19.
For MOSTRATEC-LIBERATO Junior projects, the official website says that there is no need to send a research report by email. Documentary requirements vary by education level and research type, so this checklist should be cross-checked against the project form and the applicable scientific rules.
Why do some pages show October 15 while others show October 12?
Some auxiliary website pages still show October 15 for the research report, but the consolidated 2026 schedule explicitly marks “NEW DATE: October 12”. The participation rules updated on September 4, 2026 also repeat October 12. To avoid risk, the operational date to follow is October 12, not October 15.
There are also secondary pages with residual references to previous years, such as an apparent “30/09/25” on the affiliated-fairs area. When sources conflict, prioritize the updated rules and the official 2026 schedule because they consolidate the current rules and dates.
Final flow by status
- Selected on September 1: review the portal and SRC issues, confirm the project on the October 6 list, send the report by October 12 if it is High School/Technical Education, and complete the payment step by October 19 when applicable.
- Waitlisted: monitor official channels continuously. Additional calls may happen at any time, and there is no separate published date for waitlisted projects.
- Affiliated fair: if the fair took place from August 1 to September 28, complete registration by September 30. Once criteria and deadline are met, the place is guaranteed; then follow October 6, October 12 when applicable and October 19.
In every case, treat 6:59 p.m. Brasília time as the closing time for deadlines stated in the rules and avoid leaving uploads, document corrections or bank-slip generation to the last minutes.
