Trail of Notes is a blog dedicated to explaining perfumery to people who want to go beyond the name on the bottle. We investigate notes, accords, fragrance families, versions, similar perfumes, performance, use cases, launches, and the history of perfumery. We distinguish manufacturer information, documentary sources, user perceptions, and our own tests when those tests were actually carried out. Comparisons and recommendations must state their criteria, limitations, and commercial relationships when applicable.
